turn klde to klze?

is it possible to make my klde engine a klze but changing the cam shafts and intake? i know the heads were a little different as well but would they make that much difference?

well you could go hybrid puting the ZE heads/cams and in take on could make a bit of a dif but, for $800 youe could just sway the whole motor, would be better then the hybrid unless the motor is built, ZE heads with the DE retainers, springs and sucj is a popular choice as the DE retainers and springs are better then the ZE.

i can get cheap ze cams and keep the de retainers and springs. but if i did that what hp would i be looking at? both with and without the ze intake? would it be worth the money?

true ze makes 150-160 WHP with bolt ons , the de block with Ze cams is no high compression ze pistons are dish and forged internals so just swaying cams and intake will not make it a ZE motor, i would just buy the whole motor , if your doin all this work just best to do a full sway then built your DE for boost take your time do it right or built the ZE for boost , as for worth it thats really something you need to answer presonally i like KL motors and i think it is but if your end goal is a monster hp then no, 250-270 is more then possible and there are a bunch out there making that easy but takes time and knowledge.

Heads + cam & IM = Hybrid Just swap the retainers out from the DE, as for the dished ZE pistons doesn't make a huge difference just helps cut the oil abit better.. Also dont the ECU this makes the full 200hp....

The ze pistons are higher compression, you need the computer or it really isnt worth it, I had a 95 probe GT that I did a ze swap in and without the computer it was worthless, I think if you just get the chip you dont need to source the JE50 vaf for it, but i can't rember anymore
