turkey sound after installing intake

it is only an intake, yeah, but there can be major differences in the diameter or length of the tube, quality of the filter, what material the pipe is made from or if it has any type of coating on the inside. It is just an opinion that weapon r is crap. But i base my opinion on more than just how many ads there are for something or if pep boys stocks it on their shelves.

Im not trying to knock the guy for buying weapon R, ive bought things that i thought later were a waste of money or ended up not being what i wanted. Live and learn thats all.

I also like Perrin cause they support the forum!

Well I've seen intakes made of pvc work with high HP apps, so...

der da der

I wasnt sure which would be a better product I was looking at mainly the Perrin or the WR. I actually ordered the Weapon R for more then the Perrin would have been. owell exactly live and learn. thanks for the info.

perhaps you can let me know what is wrong with the weapon r product? or have suggestions as to a "quality product". The reviews were all showing the same for my system as the Perrin you have. or is this just your opinion.

It will be fine. You can make your own damn intake out of generic e-bay piping and it would still be fine. Actually, the perrin intake is the one that has caused so many people problems. If you guys search and do some reading you'll see what I mean. However, they may very well have fixed those problems by now, but they still did not do their freaking R&D, because they released a faulty product to the market. People bought it and had to fix it before it worked right.

Weapon R Intake

I bought a Weapon R based on the following. I have posted the results below BUT have also placed the link for all the folks dissing the Weapon system. While not the strongest at every RPM, it actually BEAT overall, EVERY short ram in this test including INJEN, AEM and K&N. The scientific principal behind it is solid, Its a TRUE velocity stack intake...a tube inside a tube where the faster moving air in the center "pulls" the larger amounts of air along the outer diameter. See links below.

YES, I did have to relocate my washer tank but for $150 and numbers like these......DUH?

Get 'em, LOL.

Thanks Dirty....

While not as easy to install as other systems, it is obviously not "crap".

Did I mention that it beat EVERY short ram in this test?.... INCLUDING AEM, INJEN and K&N......So much for the "lack of R&D" huh?

Crashkelly and others need to do their homework and zip it.

I am happy with this intake, the hardware is of high quality with heavy gauge silicone connectors and nice fat stainless clamps. It has clean welds and a nice chrome finish. It also makes a VERY audible whooshing-whistle at boost that turns heads everywhere.
