I just recieved my SMIC and will be installing it along with my GHL turboback exhaust next week. Just wondering what gains I might expect with this set up? The only mod I have now is an Ingen CAI.
My goal is to be able to best a buddy of mine who drives a 2000 Eclipse and thinks it's God's gift to the automotive world. I just got back from a year tour in Afghanistan and cant wait to watch him cry... yeah Im a bad friend I know

- turbohoses smic and hardpipe kit is dyno proven (by turbohoses for about 16whp and 16wtq at stock boost levels).
- GHL turboback exhaust is at least another 20whp.

so depending on what the eclipse is putting out at the wheels, then you may be able to stay with him....

If its the GT it has 200 hp. But it weighs a s*** load. If it doesnt have any serious mods...he should have it. I used to own one :D

2000 isn't that the newer model with the v6 that puts out 200hp.

or 4 banger that makes like 160.

Its the 3.0 sohc v6 with 200 hp stock. All he has done to it is a catback exhaust and AEM CAI. Good thing is that it weighs alot plus he has a huge system in it, not to mention he's a little chunkey... every pound counts.
He doesnt know what ive done to the MSP yet, I'll let him find out the hard way.

shouldnt be too tough...

yea they aren't that fast even though they have 200hp, i don't think i've ever seen one stock that ran faster than a 15.0 at the track....with those mods you should def have him.

I got a 14.9 once LOL

even the older turbo ones arent tooo big of a challenge (exception of the awd mofos) i spanked a gs-t with a evoIII 16g turbo that was tuned

are you installing the ghl tbe yourself? lemme know how hard it is.

Yeah, me and a friend will be installing it next weekend. I got a wright up on how to do it, but no pictures. Souldn't be to hard, I've installed a full exhaust system on my 98 Prelude, but I've never delt with a turbo before.

From what I have heard it is a serious butch to get the s-pipe off the turbo, i am pretty sure GLH says to take everything off at the turbo mainfold, but I have read of people doing it without removing it, there is just some really hard bolts to get too. I have worked on this system from the j-pipe back and that wasn't too difficult.

I bought the stud kit with it just in case, what with murphys law and all.

QUOTE]

These gains were made on a completely stock car on stock boost.
Other companies and addtional modifications to make nearly the same power. With our new intake there is another 4-6 whp and decreased spool time.

Not bad considering that in less than 1 hour, you will have 20whp and excellent driveability and from what a few of our customers told us they even got slightly better gas mileage, especially after the intake.

TurboHoses

Damn i ran one but im stock and i was like right next to him but i started to pull away (red light) but (dunno) his seem stock too.

My car started and idled better with the turbohoses SMIC as well as gaining power. I have put some top modifications on my car, and this is among the best. Very good quality.
