whats your AF's at 7 psi?

Let me get my vacuum block installed and get rid of the vacuum leaks and I will get back with you on that. By getting rid of the leaks and having a more solid line of pressure throughout the vacuum system, I should have a better a/f ratio at 7psi.bazooka joe said:whats your AF's at 7 psi?

As you were (outie)

I noticed some where in this thread or another, that you said something about a rough idle and now you are complaining of this symptom of a fluctuating boost gauge. I would say that you have a vacuum leak somewhere. I have a vacuum leak but it only leaks sometimes. Sometimes I get a perfect idle and no loss of vacuum and sometimes I get a bad idle. You could also be losing boost through a vacuum line. Kinda hard to tell while you are boosting, but I would get the ends of the vacuum lines clamped if I were you. just an idea.Matthew1785 said:hey since were on the subject of vac leaks.. I it possible to run at 20 inches of vac and still have a vac leak?
the reason I'm asking it because whenever I go into boost my boost gauge starts to flutter after the 0 inches
I feel like I'm building boost and I know I'm boosting but is there any way to get a steady reading of the boost gauge and stop the fluttering?
could the vac line from the gauge to the T be too long? I noticed there used to be a small kink on that vac running from the boost gauge to the T but we unkinked it
any ideas? it would be nice to see a steady reading for once.
I have check all the IC pipes everything is as tight as a whistle.
I put the vacuum block in today and it got rid of all the leaks. I took her out and pushed her good. It's kinda hard to tell what afr I am at at 7psi. The begi is designed to go up to 7psi, but it kinda cuts out. When I stomp on it, the ratio is good, then around 5psi I am at 11.9 at 6psi around 12.1 and at 7psi it is around 12.8 and pushes up the longer I hold it. I usually let off the gas when it hits 14.0. I really need to see if the split second afc will work for the automatic. That would be a great investment.bazooka joe said:whats your AF's at 7 psi?

I'm really surprised you don't boost in first, I do at 1 PSI shift then get on it on 2nd man that pull is exciting. when I get these leaks addressed and a new wastegate installed I will up the boost to 6 PSI and leave it.

That's where I am now.Matthew1785 said:but what gets me is that I'm sitting at 20-18 inches of vac in park and in idle
