Yes that's how mines connected.cmahlig said:the forge has a silicone adapter piece that connects to that rubber nipple then connects to the bov. so you are saying i could use that silicone hose to connect that to the rfl?

Was it designed for low boost (less than 10 PSI) applications?
Those BOV are a work of art.RX said:Here is a pic of the BOV I'm seriously thinking about getting with the blow by MAF setup.
SU and MAM are both developing the pre-cut "cold side" hardpipe needed:

I just hope it's comparable to the Turbosmart Megasonic which I will never be able to afford:

MrDiggler said:FWIW, I just bought an RFL from a forum member and tried it out last week in place of my TurboXS Type-S. I was very surprised to find that it didn't sound as good (or as loud) as my S did. I played with the packing washers and had it adjusted just right, but it isn't nearly as sensitive on my setup as what I already had. It took a lot to get it to blow off. I am at only 8 psi though, and I'm sure that made a difference.
I need to make a clip of my Type-S sometime. People would s*** if they could hear it. I can blow off at only 1 psi and I get a very loud psycho-turkey with the factory piping.
Are you saying the RFL won't blow off sometimes? Is it inefficient? I'm only asking because I read that it is designed for 10-25 PSI. I don't plan on boosting more than 8 PSI and just sold my Greddy Type-S to go a different route.shaneMazda2000P said:agreed, the rfl when it was on my car, had to be at 5psi and a high rpm the blow off, i swaped it out for a turbo xs type-s and the system can actually blow off now...
the rfl has a hard spring in there... even when it is adjusted all the way out... but it did sould really nice when it did go off...
check my sig, that is the type-s
