Can u just put this Garrett Dual Ball Bearing GT2871R Turbo on a stock car with a no mods done to the car except turbo back exhaust, boost controller and boost controller. Would i have to do other mods or would that be a nice new part for Christmas

Uhh...you could put it on...but it wont run right without engine management. Plus you'll likely blow up your engine. Get supporting mods before you do something stupid.

exhaust, intake, fmic, ecu, rods, pistons, new turbo i would do it in the order too unless you would like to zoom zoom boom

I don't think you need to go forged to do the turbo, there are people on the forum running the GT28RS without forged internals unless the GT2871R is bigger

Its debatable...there are people who swear with the right EMS you can run a bigger turbo without upgrading the rods, but personally I would want the extra protection or some pauter rods and arias pistons.

well technically you wouldnt have to wear a seat belt if you were never going to get in a wreck but s*** happens lol but its kinda like buying insurance, its always a good thing to have but i would forge the motor before upgrading the turbo just cause the rods are so small but hey if it blows up go get another block outta a ford probe for cheep and swap em....

i would def. put new rods in it if your going 2871r 28rs with good tunnin can be ok for a lil bit but i blew mine up with 10-12psi stock turbo

Ya but he should change the IC and also changes does damn motor mounts because its going to strain on the exhaust and other components. This car is very expensive so start slow to not ZOOM ZOOM BOOM

Your right, the insurance policy that makes the difference. Thanks for convincing me, might save me some money in the future

i would put a FMIC j-spec cam and EMS push it to 10 psi

zoom-zoom boom. get someone to help you (in person) on this one guy, if you don't know what you're doing/what you're getting into, you're fuckered. and you'll lose a car.

You could run a bigger turbo on a stock motor. You WILL need some type of ems to get it to run properly. I would throw in some wrx 440cc injectors also. I wouldnt run alot of boost though. Even running the same boost as a stock car that bigger turbo will produce more power. Pretty much the amount of power you push out of the stock motor will determine how safe it is.
