Turbo timer problems

Im having a hard time figuring out what is wrong with my turbo timer. Once in awhile it will decide it wants to work and comes on, otherwise, it just sits blank. I double checked the ground and that was good. I also double checked the power wire from the ignition and that was fine also. Any ideas what's causing this?

what brand and model etc. we need more info then just two types of wires that are in fact properly connected

I have an apexi auto timer I'm thinking its one of the other 2 wires coming off the black box I haven't checked those 2 just checked the ground and 12v constant didnt have time for the other 2 they will get checked this weekend. But they felt tight and nothing turned on when I wiggled them as will sometimes happen with a loose wire.

well heres your problem, you dont know which wires are which. first you said you checked ground and ignition, then you said you checked ground and constant, those are two totally different things. i say check them all, its got to be a loose wire.
