LinuxRacr said:Did some tuning tonight, and I think I may have had a little clutch slippage at 15 PSI, and 5500-6500 RPM's...(yupnope) I will have to do some further testing tomorrow..

LinuxRacr said:I went out tonight and did a little tuning. The car pulls a lot better than it has been in quite a while. My torque curve is different now with the bigger GT28-RS turbo. I still remember the GT28-R, and the early spool-up it had....I miss it a little. I floored it at 14-15 PSI today in 5th gear, and my A/F ratio was 11.7. I had to pull a degree or two of ignition timing there. Tomorrow, I will pay more attention to the injector duty cycle to see how close I am to running out of injector up there.
My car has close to 190,000 on it, but not the engine. No dyno yet...
Well, JDM Sam and I finally got around to re-tuning my ride a few weeks ago. I drove, and he used the text map to tune. We got the top-end going good. Then we had a communications issue with me not understanding what he wanted me to do when we were tuning for off-boost, throttle response, so he drove, while I learned a little bit about how to tune with the text map. I was too rich out of boost, and around boost transition, so I would watch the text fuel map, and look at where it was occuring, and I would lock in the location, and he would tell me how much to adjust it by. Being that it wasn't his car, he was being conservative with the number he was telling me to put, and he didn't want to blow it up. He was getting more aggressive, as we saw the results. I did bigger changes, as I understood he was concerned about the safety of my engine. Being that it is my car, if I ****** it up, it was on me. We got to our target A/F ratio. As a result of all this, I understand the importance of a text map for fuel, and why a lot of tuner use it. You can input the exact numbers you need.LinuxRacr said:After driving this car for a couple of days, I can see this car is going to be fast once the tuning is done. WOW!
