its not so much a problem with the turbo itself, its i cant get the dang thing installed. i have taken off all the necessary stuff, and cant get the exhaust manifold off the of the car because of three bolts. the bolts that hold the exhaust manifold under the car (with the two springs) have been tightened until there is no spacing between the coils. i have a new down pipe and manifold etc. so im not worried about wailing on it. but the exhaust pipe itself i am worried about because it looks like someone did a chop shop job on it and the bolts that are connected to the springs are welded to the actual exhaust pipe going to the cat. i am just wondering if anyone has had this problem before, and if they have, how did they get rid of those bolts. also, does anyone know the size/thread count on those spring bolts so i could jsut use a dremmel....? i could get pictures if anyone doesnt know what i am talking about

Just cut them off, and use a long bolt and nut intead of studs. That's be the easiest to do. I used a torch to get mine loose.

i used some carboncleaner to break away the rust ans dirt and it came off with a little muscle. make sure your turning it the right way sometimes its easy to lose your bearings and even though you think your turning it the right way fustration or over confidense may make you turn it the wrong way without weven noticing it.

yeah.. they are spot welded on. I used an impact wrench and accidentally torqued em off.. thats when i installed my obx header..

i know i have been turning the right way. (little tips... no... wasted right now) i dont have an acedoline torch that i can use, and am ding this on campus. used an entire can of liquid wrench and bought a whole bunch of tools (buy the tools and do it yourself is still cheaper than having someone do it for you and you get to keep the tools) does anyone know of any good DYnO tuners in the phoenix area? i talked to DYnO Comp but they never returm my calls. any suggestions? i also plan on putting a K&N typhoon on this setup and a 2.5" exhaust on it. have a 2 1/8" on it right now.... also, will a nut and bolt (with washers) do the trick that the springs and bolt do?
i know some stuff about cars butnever messed with an exhaust before

You may want to keep the springs!
You can replace the bolts with large bolts, a couple of really large washers and new nuts.

I broke the welds with a ratchet (eek2)

An auto parts store had the remedy though, I just brought them the bolts and they were like "oh crap how old is that car" and I said "it's a 2002" :)

no no check it out the two nuts that you are talking about are the ones that face the back of the car right. if so then they are welded on there and you dont have to take those off. if you get a wrench and loosen the bolts that are facing the front of the car, the ones welded will stay in place and the long bolts will come out towards the front of the car.
