Turbo Kits For Sale

We do not expect any problems with the stock transmission or axels with the turbo kit. However an upgraded clutch will be required to handle the extra power of our stage 2 kit. We are doing 2 separate ECU's for the MP3 and the regular Protege 2.0 liter. This will apply to the N/A chip as well as the turbo chips. I would expect anyone who is seriously contemplating our turbo kit to upgrade the tires if they are doing aggressive driving on a daily basis. I have Toyo T1/s on my 323 GT turbo and they seem to work fairly well at controlling 240 horsepower to the wheels on my 2350 pound car. I will update you with pictures and dyno results shortly. Any other Auto guys interested please let me know? Thank you.

When will your mp3 chip for the turbo setup be complete? And can you PLEASE include bigger injectors/fuel pump for the mp3 turbo kit? I don't want EXTRA injectors, just BIGGER ones. Thanks!

The engine management will be another few weeks as we ned to carefully calibrate the system for both the MP3 and regular 2.0 liter. We will have bigger injectors, not extra injectors in our set up. I am not a big fan of an additional injector set up, as usually that is done because the engine management side of things has been overlooked. The kits will be installed at our facility as well as mail ordered with detailed instructions. The cost of the CPU alone will be in the $650 range, give or take. Final pricing has not as yet been finalized. I will have to talk to our tech guys about the Automatic Protege to see what the feasibilty is of doing the turbo kit for it and how well the trannie will hold up. Keep the replies coming and if you have an Auto and are SERIOUSLY considering buying a turbo kit please let me know. Thanks everyone.

I'm SERIOUSLY considering buying one. I wouldn't have bought this car if I wasn't planning on turboing it. It's not fast enough for me. I like the way you're going about things...bigger injectors, not more. Also, kudos for the engine management. Take your time, tweak it well.

Also, where are you guys located? If you're not near South Jersey, can you reccommend any shops for me to go to?

Also, be sure to keep your price reasonable. You should consider making an "utlimate kit" which included the clutch and guages as well. The more you can sell us, the more you'll make, and the simpler you make things for us, the better. Also, which turbo were you using? I was planning on using a T3 in my car.

I agree 150%

We are using a Garrett T-28 turbocharger which is OE equipment on the Japanese market Silvia(240SX). On that Nissan SRDET 2.0 liter it makes 250 horsepower from the factory. More than enough turbo for our kit, while still having plent of grunt low down as well. I will have some more information on options shortly, but a clutch will be mandatory for the stage 2 turbo kit(approx 210 horsepower). We are located in California in the Bay Area. I appreciate all of the replies guys. Keep them coming.

Ponies

When u say 210 for hp i take it u mean to the crank right????? Or is this wheel hp and if it is at the crank how much is to the wheels 180ish????
Thanks,
Zane

The factory car makes approx 100 horsepower at the wheels. We are shooting for 175 Flywheel horsepower(140 wheel hp approx) with stage 1 and 210 flywheel horsepower (168 wheel hp approx) with the stage 2 kit. That is calculating a high 20% driveline loss into the equation. I will have concrete numbers in the coming weeks. Thank you.

What type of manifold are you going with?
Pictures are great, whenever they become avaibale.
I am really considering the turbo but need pics and prices.
If I do decide to buy your kit, Do you take credit cards?
Thanks

The Manifold will be cast and hopefully I will have some detailed pictures early next week, as well as some dyno results. We do take Mastercard and Visa. Thank you for the replies.

Can you give us a basic rundown on the t28? About what rpm is it fully spoolet at? How much bigger is it than a t25? How much headroom does the turbo have if we want to run more boost in the future?

So you will offer the clutch as part of the kit? Or at least a DISCOUNT on the clutch (and maybe guages too?).

Again, any shops you know out here in NJ that you know would be able to install your kit correctly?

I patitently await your kit!

We should have a clutch package available at the same time as the turbo kit is ready. As far as pricing goes it should be around the $450 range approx. The T-28 turbocharger is good for 350 horsepower and has about 50 horsepower over the smaller GT-25 which usally starts to run out of steam around 290-300 horsepower. Unfortunately we do not have any shops in your area currently that are authorized M2 installers. However any good mechanic/ shop should be able to do the install for you. Thanks again for the interest Kooldino.

I have an Auto Transmation P5 and i live in South Florida. If you do come out with a turbo kit for the AT P5's will the price be more then the MT P5's? if so how much are we talking about?

Are you making your OWN clutch or using someone elses?

Do you warantee your turbo kits?

thxbrett--

really looking forward to this kit...i know your rx7 kit kicks arse...any idea when you will be updating your website?? also is there any possibility of a group buy??

umm I see the blow off valve is included. How does that differ from a wastegate? Also how will the bearings be lubricated? Don't most turbos use the engine oil to do this? How will your kit accomplish this?
Its a shame you don't take Discover.

The kit will have provisions for oil and water cooling of the turbocharger as it is a Garrett turbo and requires both. As for the clutch we work with a company to fabricate M2 clutches specifically for us. The wasetgate and blow off valve are two separate things. The kit will come with both. As for a group buy, we normally try to avoid them as they usually don't pan out with customers not having the funds for the purchase. It may be possible if we have 10 guys ready at the same time to offer a group price, but I cannot guarantee it. We should be updating the web site in the next few weeks with our Protege line. I will have some more information regarding the Automatic cars early next week. I do not expect the price to be any different however than the manual turbo kits. Thank you.

What's the lowdown with your clutch? It will be a straight clutch, correct? Not a puck...

Do you plan on making/offering a lightweight flywheel to go with it?

We are considering an Aluminum flywheel to go with the clutch. The clutch will definately not be a puck style as that is way to aggressive for street driving and not needed for this power level.
