Turbo Kits For Sale

Turbo Questions

I have some questions... Will the tranny hold up with this turbo kit because I've heard peoples tranny's are bad and they are running stock. Also where are you guys, M2, based out of? And how long would we have to give you the Mp3 to install if you do installation. And have you guys thought about that AEM Plug & play ecu

Thanks for the replies guys. We do not believe the transmission will pose any problems with the kits we are making. As for the AEM ecu it does look very interesting, however the price point of $1400 plus the cost of the kit would be way to expensive. We are very confident that our chip will be more than sufficient for the turbo kit we are making. We are located in Concord, California and we project approx 2-3 days to do the install depending on the volume of business at the shop. Sorry we do not have a payment plan. I will keep you updated as to our progress. Thank you.

Question

I'm not to bright so I was wondering how to find out what production number my MP3 is, is it in the VIN# not sure.
STOP LAUGHING AT ME!!!

please help:o  :o  :o

Go to:

Mazda USA

Call the 1-800 customer service number. Give them your VIN number, and they should be able to tell you. This same info could have also been found by doing a search on this very site!

Hope this helps!

I have a question, I have a Automatic P5, are there any disadvantages to getting a turbo on my P5?

Also, because i have an automatic transmission, is it harder to put a turbo on it? Is it even possible to get a turbo on a automatic?

Is it worth the time an money to put a turbo on a automatic transmission P5 compared to a stick or manual transmission?

We have not investigated the automatic market for this car as truthfully I do not expect many customers with automatics to purchase the kit. If there is enough interest than obviously we will look into making the kits available to the auto crowd. Let me know guys. Thanks.

alright, two concerns bout this turbo. first off, if im gonna spend that kinda money on just a turbo im gonna do some other stuff too. my point is lets say i get the 4500 and am producing 200+ whatever else ive done will my tires be able to transfer this power to the ground effectivley or will i be replacing tires every 15000 miles. concern#2 will the rest of the car hold up(ie: tranny, front end, drive shaft). i would definatly be interested but im worried about spending all that money and not being able to do anything but spin my tires and break stuff. any info would be great and thanks a lot for your support of our cars. btw i have an mp3.

im just wondering if theres need to a different chip for the Mazda MP3 compared to the rest of the P5/ES due to the timing retard issue and if M2 performance is aware of this. Just mentioning since seems like bellengineering didnt know about this issue...

We do not expect any problems with the stock transmission or axels with the turbo kit. However an upgraded clutch will be required to handle the extra power of our stage 2 kit. We are doing 2 separate ECU's for the MP3 and the regular Protege 2.0 liter. This will apply to the N/A chip as well as the turbo chips. I would expect anyone who is seriously contemplating our turbo kit to upgrade the tires if they are doing aggressive driving on a daily basis. I have Toyo T1/s on my 323 GT turbo and they seem to work fairly well at controlling 240 horsepower to the wheels on my 2350 pound car. I will update you with pictures and dyno results shortly. Any other Auto guys interested please let me know? Thank you.

While a turbo is not in my budget for now, the idea of a turbo auto with a TC with a higher stall speed is quite interesting.

I am wondering how much the turbo cpu, with the injectors would be.

I have a few questions for all of those with forced induction experience.

1. Is it feaseable to turbo a 01 ES Protege Automatic?

2. Will the stock tranny hold up to 5 PSI of boost?

3. Is a torque converter upgrade is possible for our cars? If so I need a possible source for torque converter maybe a older model Mazda car that had a kick ass strong auto tranny?

When I bought this car i never realized it had any tuning value. I just bought it because it was a economical family car. Now I am knee deep in this car. Thx Brett I am very interested in this project. If i can't go turbo i will be eventually be a all motor contender. So I would definitely be interested in a ECU upgrade. If anyone has ignition solutions for this car i am interested in that also. I have so many questions i could just burst. Thanks for any help you guys can provide.
