Turbo install this weekend

Ok guys, got a couple questions. Check the attachment for the circled parts. 1. How the hell do those funky little clamps come undone? 2. The mid oxygen sensor harness, number 73 in the diag, do I have that on the p5 already? Is this for the sensor that connects to the exhaust mani? Hope you all enjoy the mspaint skillz, lmao..

i think they actually sell a tool for them but i've used a pair of channel lock pliers and they work fine, it's a mighty tight clamp!!

sorry about the other, not sure, but i think the p5 would have that already...check it out here...

I think it is just for the exhaust mani o2 sensor. And for those clips just get a set of pliers sqeeze and shake lol.

Oh and Mark how old is your daughter?

yeah those clips come off really easy with the channel locks, some of the hoses are on real tight even after you get them undone, turn the hose and then it slides off pretty easy

Thanks for the quick replies guys, I haven't actually started tearing anything apart yet. I just took one last sit down w/ all the parts, to see exactly what I have and don't have. I'm in really good shape, I still need the banjo fitting, check valve and few clamps. Other than that, I'm ready to roll.

sounds like you got it going good, just make sure if you have to tap the pan, have nothing on the block or pan , mine is leaking right now.. slow but still leaking...

Ok, so while Tony is working on his top secret project, he's going back to stock. I traded him the stock parts I had and paid him a small fee for his setup. The turbo and mani will be stock, but the rest will be the MAM setup. Hardpipes, fmic, sri and boost sciences reflex bpv. (first) Thanks again Tony!

Got just about everything outta the car. I'll post pics in a few, gotta go get some herbal relief after all that work! :D

getting it out is the easy part, remembering how it goes back together is the hard part (RTM) lol

Doing any more work to it tomorrow? I'd be willing to lend a hand for a while, considering I have nothing to do all day.

Haha, word. On with the pics!
Bye-bye bumper

Yea, I gotta get the oil pan out. Funny story about that actually. I took all the bolts out and it still didn't wanna come out, so I saw a nut that I hadn't gotten. Silly me. I removed the "nut" which was welded to the pan, lol. I'm sure you all see where I'm going w/ this... So tomorrow I have to try to pry it off without damaging the crank girdle. I'm also gonna put on the turbo/downpipe etc. the ecu, and possibly the ic. I'll most likely be here most of the day doing s*** to the car. I also have to put in the vacuum block, run the line for my boost guage (blah) So yea, if you wanna come by lemme know and I'll PM ya my address.
