Mazda Protege 2000 1.8
i got a 2000 protege 1.8l and i want to know what good turbo system i can get and how much power increase i will get thanks

well that really all depends on how much money you want to spend!

i dynoed at just over 100whp, and thats with a header, exhaust, UDP and some other stuff...

i plan on putting on a turbo set up pretty soon (i have most of everything...) and i hope to get about 170-180 whp, if not more, i'll have 440 CC injectors plus a UniChip, also hope to have a 626 intake manifold, so i hope that gives you an idea...

It's a T3/T4...whatever that means...but yeah, that's what I hope to achieve, eventually, I'm still getting all my parts together...let alone money,
speaking of that, be prepared to spend at least 2 grand on a turbo set up, remember to get some high-flow exhaust (2.5-3" piping, no cat preferable) for another $500...

this will also cost more for insurance if you want to claim your mods, some companies won't even cover them, so be aware...i don't think mine does, then again, i haven't told them about any of my mods... oh-well...

it's up to you man, but i think it'll be worth it in the long run, you'll def have more fun with you car!!!

you need to also keep in mind that you might be able to buy a msp cheeper than getting your car where you want it in terms of speed.

it sounds like you need to do some research... It really doesnt seem like you know what your talking about.

a t3/t4 trim on a 1.8? u fraudin brah. i mean...unless you like mad amounts of turbo lag? a t25 is plenty for your need. we've put a t3/t4 on a z34 3400...which is a v6...and its good on there...but not a protege motor.
