TRZ Poly RMM...Too stiff?

So I've had my TRZ poly rear mount on for about 500-600 miles now, and while the vibes have gotten noticeably less prominent, I can still fell them badly when its colder out, and when I am letting the clutch out in first. Will this go away with another few hundred miles, or will the pretty much stay this way? If so, im thinking of going with the SU street billet MM. LEt me know what you guys think.

I only felt it was better after 1k miles. The only time i feel it is from idle to about 2k rpm and when downshifting.

You will feel the vibes, its supposed to b like that. Ditd you torque it right? 75ft-lbs is where it should be. Make sure to loctite the threads on the bolts. If its vibrating a lot, try to retorque it, it might b too tight. Also, make sure you torque the vertical bolt first, then the horizontal.

Truthfully, it's a super stiff mount, with either poly or race bushings. But, that's a very good thing.

If you don't want the vibes, i'd probably recommend an AWR Race Mount (yes I said Race) or a SU RMM. I'm not a fan of the big gargantuan heavy billet mounts. It's not like you see them, and they scream "LOOK AT ME" at service techs at the dealership. The AWR is basically a stock mount, reinforced and with a much stiffer bushing setup. Very comfortable for daily driving, I literally forgot what the car felt like stock as it's that normal. TRZ's are very stiff, and actually, I sorta like that. I've considered eventually getting into a TRZ mount one day.

I've just never understood the gigantic billet setup with a soft ass bushing in the middle. Almost defeats the purpose of replacing a stock mushy mount with a billet mushy mount. Because yes, that's all these guys advertise is a lower durometer bushing that's supposed to absorb (soft) vibes.

Do you know what the durometer of the stock mount is? I jar got this piece, and it feels good, but there are some rattles that are accentuated with this thing in. If it gets a little softer, (hopefully it will) I will probbly keep it, but as of now, I'm not loving it.

Give it 1K miles or so. That has been what lots of people have used. I sold my SU mount after a year of vibrations at idle with the AC on. My CPE does not make CD's skip.

The TRZ does vibe like hell... but I got used to it pretty quickly. It also raises cabin noise quite a bit. But I don't even care about any of that, it is such a stiff mount and really locks the engine in place. Love doing those WOT 2-3 shifts with confidence. I'm now looking to get the TRZ tranny mount as well to supplement the RMM.

I liked the TRZ because it almost literally felt like the exhaust note changed. Cheap mods are always more enjoyable when they do more than just the "behind the scenes" improvements.

I just couldn't stand the 2-3 miss when I had the stock mount in. It made me go WTF every time. Like you are flying along and go to fork it into 3rd and it just doesn't go... wierdest thing. This happened to me only once with the TRZ because my wheels were hopping like mad (winter tires FTL).

lol i just did WOT 2-3 last night. lots of wheelspin. thanks old man winter...and your little tires too.

on the other hand - I'm ordering TRZ RMM today. =)

Same boat here. I remember the vibes being noticeable after the initial install. But I honestly can't tell you if the vibes calmed down, or if I just got used to them. I hardly notice any more. The only vibe that catches my attention is when the e-brake button buzzes. And I read a write-up somewhere on how to pad underneath it to stop the buzz, so if it really bothers me, I'll rip it apart & make it stop.

The vastly improved shifter feel and confidence is worth a little vibration.

i used to have the trz poly which was very stiff. now i have the cpe 75 duro and it feels the same in cold days lol.
