TRZ motor mount - Excessive noise while on a hill

As the thread title states my car really starts to make a lot of vibration and noise while stopped on a hill - nose of the car is higher than the rear.

I have a TRZ mm, street hardness installed. It's rare in north Texas for me to have the car situated on a hill like this, so this is the first I've really noticed it. This angle obviously presses the motor harder against the transmission and mount than while flat on the ground.

Surely this isn't normal, I'm beginning to think my install was wrong, maybe I torqued in the wrong sequence?

Thx for any advice fellas.

If it's installed and one of the bolts hasn't fallen out, then you've installed it correctly. The torque sequence is irrelevant as long as you've torqued to the correct values. In that same case, the torque wouldn't cause excessive vibration, but a loose bolt sure would ;) .

Does the vibration occur at idle or when in gear? If while slowly going uphill, could it be a combination of engine vibration and minimal slip in the tires?

No bolts have fallen out, I've made sure of that much. The bolts were tight upon inspection.

Excessive vibration occurs at idle. I noticed this today while fully stopped, brakes applied while pointing up hill. Hmmmmmmm

Really Hungus? First I've heard that additional mounts will cause less cabin vibrations.

you get more tranny noise (duh) w/ the tranny mount. however, vibes decrease and move from the dash down to the pedals. vibes are less harsh and more of a buzz.

i'm a mod addict and the trz tranny mount has been my favorite.

I don't see how it doesn't make sense. When your nose is pointing uphill, you have more of the engine weight sitting up against that tranny mount which in turn is locked onto the chassis. When you're sitting on a level surface, all that weight and load can be more evenly distributed to all motor mounts.

All that was quite apparent derpsi, but I hadn't heard any other members complain about this - and there was a lot to complain about. All this led me to believe something was up.

Look at the design on the TRZ mount. It's a flat plate with a small bushing- you will hear and feel more vibrations from the transmission. It's normal.

I have a new ACT street clutch/flywheel combo with the TRZ side mount? You want to hear how loud and obnoxious my car sounds now?

The throwout bearing was replaced as well. Now, at idle you hear the throwout barring like hell is about to break loose. That "noise" people used to get scared about and post numerous posts about "my clutch sounds different when I press/depress"

Because of the clutch/flywheel combo being much more lighter compared to stock as well as the TRZ mount transferring much more vibrations/sounds it's going to sound like there are issues but everything is normal it's just the way it operates.

When I down shift from any gear especially from 4th to 3rd gear and let of the gas it sounds like the throwout bearing is so loud is sounds like it's lose but it isn't.

I should post some videos to show you guys what vibrations and "noisy" really means and to show the car is running perfectly fine.

Well as for clutches go. Aftermarkets are gonna make noise. It's called clutch chatter.. Your gonna hear that because of the extra pressure and gripping it will provide. Thats why when you go clutch shopping it will tell u if its loud or not. As far as your mount goes. It does the extra vibration because of your angle and the fact that one mount is stiffer then the others. The others are giving way like there designed to. And your new one is stiffer and dsn't allow flex. So your vibration is from the denial of flex.. If you put new mounts on the side and tranny your car overall will shake because when your hit throttle your motor needs to move and your stopping it from moving. All your vibrations are normal..

Thinking of trading in for a CPE or something a bit softer... The vibes bother the hell out of me as a daily commuter car - and the gains don't really outweigh the annoyance to me.

Anyone interested in a TRZ?
