Troublesome MSP

queens blvd is awesome...i heard ambulances just chill there now waiting to pick up bodies. my cousin and i were contemplating setting up a bookie shop there to bet on people crossing

anything change about francis lewis? i remember i used to hang out there, but i forget why

they used to race there, i know coupel car groups hang otu there, but there is a little bit more cops around the area

I spoke too soon...here's something interesting...I just got my transmission fluid changed and for the 2nd time I have difficulty getting the shifter into the 2nd gear slot, no grinding, no noise, the shifter just won't get there sometimes.

Here's the history... at 47k I got the trans fluid changed and this problem came up, I took the car back to the dealer and they played with it for a few hours, claimed nothing was wrong and let me go, FUNNY THING, the shifter was fixed and worked fine, HMMM.

So the car was shifting PERFECTLY and I take it in to the same dealer to get the trans fluid done, and now I have the same problem again, I took it back, the tech went for a drive and had "no problems", I took him for a drive and it happened twice...but this time they told me I'm no longer on warranty so I have to pay for them to check out the problem. suck, suck, suck.

nuthin but problems

I've had nothing but problems with mine, stock everything... but it started when I tried to drive it off the dealers lot, the battery was dead because the alarm module was faulty. So the dealer wheeled it in and changed the battery. Next when I got home, after being jerked around without the ECU flash, I found that when I armed my alarm it would beep incessantly. So the dealership changed the alarm module. Next the ECU got flashed after reading posts on here and getting the jerking motion on the highway again. Then the bushings got changed cuz they squeaked and I got the clunk, so they fixed the rear sway bar tie down. Then I blew a sub, and while turning a corner the windshield cracked, so they changed both of those. Next, my wastegate malfunctioned, so they changed the turbo completely, and at the same time re-welded the cracked exhaust manifold. NOW, i am leaking oil through the line that provides oil to the turbo, so I'm adding 2 quarts of oil every week... and now I have to get the bushing's changed again because of the nasty SQUEAK. OH and I've had the radio swapped out once, but it's crapping out on me again every time I hit a bump, so it'll get changed out too. And finally, my O2 sensor is faulty and they are changing it tommorow.
So all in all, here is my list
Battery dead
Alarm Module dead
ECU Flash needed
Clunk
Squeaky bushings x 2
Sub blown
Radio Blown x 2
Stress Cracked windshield
Cracked manifold
Faulty wastegate - turbo replaced
O2 Sensor faulty
Rip in seat... I only weigh 180lbs...
I'm sure there's more but I can't think of it... but I paid for the extra 5 year warranty, it just sucks not to be driving the speed during all these repairs...

I never had a problem with mine, but was too worried to hold on to it, something probably would've gone wrong eventually. Oh well I love my RSX, but do miss my MSP!

yup the msp is problematic. broken shift linkage, blown sub, radio broke, manifold cracked, lsd broke, rear bumper started coming off x2. And everytime I get ready to sell it, she just keeps calling me back.

it's like a beautiful prostitute, you know you shouldn't **** her...but you still do!!

Still at 28k miles and no problems on my stock motor. It's a good car if you only leave the house once a week and forget what driving the car is like.

My advice: Be a shut-in like me.

I just bought mine and threads like this scare me. I take each person's situation and try to get ahead of it. AXR Clunk fix bracket is next one my "to buy" list, then AWR Motor Mounts. From the sound of it, I'll be posting my problems here with a few thousand miles down the road.
