trip to the dealer

I have had my turbo replaced not because of the whine but becasue of a rattling noise at exactly 1800 rpms. My new turbo still whines like hell. The cause of the rattle was the wastegate actuator which had no impact on boost or performance but just an annoying sound. Im not sure of the long term effects though. All in all Im happy.

Y'all need to cool your turbo longer after driving. High pitched whine is probably a coked bearing. Either that it was oil starved at some point due to a leak.

mine makes the whine noise, but if this is normal then what would that mean, ie. what is making the noise if it's not a bearing, the air cutting on the wheels perhaps..???? Someone said it's air bouncing off the cat (someone with no cats needs to respond and see if they have the noise). Also, i have to take car to dealer on monday so I'm thinking about taking them out for a test drive and having them listen to it as well.
