tpms

For those of you, who have it, does it continually monitor and show a read out if desired of the psi, or does it just warn you if it falls below a certain pressure?
Also would you purchase the nav system, if you had to do it all over again?

Much thanks and stay safe

Can't answer your Nav question, but I will say that TPMS is a emergency monitoring system, similar to the Check Engine Light, Oil Pressure Light, etc. It's a little indicator, that if I'm correct, resembles a gear, and it only comes on when it senses that one or more tires have less than safe PSI.

yes- NAV is great. I use it every chance i get. It comes in handy when looking for the nearest banks, restaurants, etc. I also got use to the voice commands and they work pretty good most of the time.

And like Jandree22 said, it's just like a check engine light. =)

just a light. But it works, it told us we had a low tire and we did, twice. Save us from having to change the tire alongside the road.

As far as the Nav is concerened...in retrospect I would have kept the 2 grand and got a portable Nav unit instead.
Don't get me wrong, the factory nav is great, it's just that I'd like the ability to take it with me in different vehicles...like when I spent a week in Puerto Rico. lol

The Nav is nice, though I'm not convinced that it's worth the two grand.

Like the saint said, it would be cheaper to get a portable Nav system... Now if the factory Nav can play DVD's too, then I may change my tune...

TPMS - came in handy a couple time here - last winter was pothole heaven here and we didn't manage to escape a couple flats.

NAV - positives: super handy, love the integration, love the voice comands, negatives: definitely cheaper to go with the portable nav, would have liked the controls to be a little easier to reach from the passenger seat or easier to see from the driver's seat.

If I had to do it again, I'd still go with the NAV - I'm soo glad that i don't have to deal with one more portable device! Plus, a coworker had his portable nav stolen out of his car - TWICE!
