Do you guys know if the RX8 came with TPMS? Or will i have to buy a set and install them. I know a guy who knows a guy who knows a guy who is getting rid of his old RX8 wheels and before i see them this weekend i would like to know if they have the TPMS in them. Thanks

If I recall correctly, ALL 2007 vehicles must have a form of tire pressure monitoring onboard. Ford does it by measuring circumference in tires, since a low tire runs differently then a fully inflated one. Mazda and other brands should be using TPMS boxes. So, I think it depends on the year of car to answer that question. I bet you could go to Edmunds and look up the year the car the wheels came off of, and find out.

yep all models of the Rx8 came with the TPMS 04 and up....the boyfriend has the baseline Rx8 2004, and he has it

keep in mind that even though the car may have come with TPMS, there's still a chance that he may have removed them to put on a new set of wheels. this is especially true if he's just selling you the wheels without tires attached...make sure to ask to be sure! oO

Yep it HAD tpms, but no longer. I think i will still pick the wheels up i cand beat the deal, under 300 for rims and rubber, all i will need are vavle stems i think i will go without the tpms in this spare set.

wow...under 300 is definitely a good deal. TPMS are expensive (250-300 a set), but who cares when you just have these around for spares! ;o
