toyo or pirelli

I've also had some experience with Kumhos Extsa don't know which series, but they handle well, have lasted 2x longer than the proxies, and are great in water/snow.

performance wise?
Performance wise these tires do real well...it's more of an all around thing with the continental's as the one's I have are w rated all season tires and handle excellent in both wet/dry. If I was going for an all out "summer" tire I'd probably go with the Continental ContiSport Contact3 over the Pirelli's. It depends on what you want though. I live in NY and my MSP is my daily driver so the all season factor is very important to me. I had the contact 2's on my MX-6 the 3's are the newest version of it. For all season high performance the ContiExtremes are the best all around tire I've used.

Good choice! I've had the Pirelli's one my car for two-years now and will be replacing them with another set.

I've had the continentals on my ride before and they provided no grip in the rain whatsoever. And it rains 24/7 here in the pacific northwest.

since the spring is approaching wanted to get some feedback on some tires. im lookin at either gettin toyo proxes 4 or pirelli pzero nero m+s. both got really good ratings but wanted to know if any one on here has tried either?

I'm using Nokian, they are probably the only true "all season tire". No other all season tires come close to them in the snow and they have great traction in the wet and dry.

Dude, that's not like a Nankang tire is it? I've never hear of Nokian.

After talking to Jim at the Tire Rack, I decided to try out some Avon Tech M500's on my S2k. After about 2 months of daily driving, 1 autocross, and 1 track day; I love them! They seem to wear a bit quickly, but no quicker than Falken Azenis ST-615's or Hankook R-S2's.

Grip-wise, they hold fantastic. Just about as much lateral grip as the R-S2's, but less sidewall flex (which is a defenite plus if you want to hit some turns). They also only ran about $100 per tire for 16's. I think the 245/45 was $107 and the front 205/50 was $95 each if memory serves. Wet weather traction is great, but if you try and push it hard through a turn, they'll kick out on you. I think they also make them in sizes for an MSP.

The R-S2 is also a good, affordable tire. It's a little more predictable than the M500's for a less experienced driver. However, both tires are a no-go when it comes to snow. Whatever you do, avoid the Hankook HRII. I ran it on my MSP for a few months, and I hated them. Terrible traction in wet and dry, and the wore out far too quickly or as little grip as the bore.
