total mileage check for speed3 owners

11k bought early december. Aside from the intake runner control valve, no issues.

Just flipped 11k, bought late December. I had the CEL last winter from what I would assume in the IRCV, but never bothered to have it fixed/replaced. Just had the motor mount recall service performed Wednesday.

Front tires are getting down there, but still have some life in them. Rear tires are fine. Not looking forward to buying replacements.

Just hit 4000 miles today and I bought it 6/10. Already had my windshield cracked by a rock. Luckily it was a small crack. I had it epoxied and its almost completly gone. I'm fully lovin every minute driving this thing.

About 1,800 miles so far.

Only a few issues so far. I had the CEL pop on last night, but it disappeared early this morning. The car can be difficult to shift into 2nd when very cold. Also, the factory tires were worthless in the snow so I bought some 16 wheels and snow tires.

And they fit over the brakes???!?

I have 16" steely's that I used on my plain jane Mazda3 (with diesel winterforce tires) but I was worried they wouldnt fit on my speed3. Guess I'm in luck??

1183 miles

Had her for 1 month, 2 days

almost at 30,000, and going pretty fast! I dont mind mileage...other than the fact it costs money to pay for gas and maintain, its kind of an achievement to have a high mileage car...

Bought my 08.5 in August 2008 and now has 39k miles. Windshield creaking when it was really cold out. When WOT, car somewhat sputtered and bogged and thought it normal. Irritating but could live with it. Clutch engagement was still quite tricky and had burnt clutch smell a few times. Changed my own oil also. Car was still fun to drive but these little things started to get irritating. Closing in on 30k, I decided to take it to the dealer. Expensive but had to in case there were issues. Apparently there were some oil gasket leaks at bottom of car so they had to keep it extra day. They replaced the gaskets under warranty and did the standard 30k service. Car is better than ever and no longer sputters or bogs under WOT. It may have a had crappy tune from the beginning or whatever gasket issues I had were related to this sputtering at WOT. They fixed this issue and appears they adjusted clutch pedal as well as not as tricky as before(haven't burnt clutch since then lol). Car is more fun to drive now and will definitely be a keeper.

2008 ms3

Got it about 3 months ago with 20k on it and have been avg about 27 mpg....not driving extremely slow but not smashing the pedal down either, got 32 on a long trip on the highway as well, pretty pleased. Few squeaks, probably the sway bar bushing or something....done a few cheap mods and I am happy
