Not even a Veyron can outrun helicopters... Hell, even if it could, the would send planes after yo @ss
There is a blue ford expedition around here the exact same way, regular IL plates... i've seen it pull people over a ton of times. It sucks cause now i slow the hell down for every dang blue expedition that i see!
Here in FFX county they use everyday unmarked cars, and regular tags. The lights are a thin strip of LEDs that clip to the sunvisor so you can't tell who is who. Since I knew that, the logic in my head came out and I decided to not be stupid and keep my speeding to the track.

Agreed, they should dump the charger and get those legacys. Did anyone read the motor trend where they put a Police Charger with the v8 against a miata? The miata lost the charger easy, it was too heavy for the turns, and actually wasn't that fast because of all the extra weight from the equipment.
My mistake!
I thought it was Pursuit Intervention Takedown Technique or some thing!

Usually the news media or COPS tv doesn't explain themselves when they are covering a chase.
It is fun. I just had a refresher training on it this past weekend.
the thing is cop cars are built to take abuse while the fleeing car might overheat, stall after a bad hit, etc. They are modified to take a beating. And ultimately , you're dealing with a team of cop cars against you. You will get caught.
Or the cops could switch to Miata Cop cars. Now that would be a sight.

Yeah, obviously you will get caught regardless, but I think the sube would make a better(cough* cooler *cough) cop car than the charger is all.
I wish I could have had a speed miata (sad2)
No doubt about it! An all Legacy GT squadcar unit would be awesome!
