had mine beyond the 140 marker, i say 145ish but still hit a fuel cut, felt like hittin a wall....speed only kills time

I've hit 130 with a cut once... second try I hit 135 with no cut (other than me taking my foot of the throttle)... MSP's are so weird

the fastest i have gone was 138 mph then the car shut down
130 for me, it took a long time because I was only at about 1/3 throttle in 5th (I'm scared to boost in 5th gear, so I kept it at 0). At 130 I shut it down, didn't want to go anymore; btw this was at like 3:00-4:00 in the morning on an empty Iowa highway. I probably won't be doing it ever again because I consider myself lucky that I didn't get caught.

Haven't tried it since way back then, but I had RPM's left, and it hit a cut, so I say again that the car is not limited by drag or gearing. It is a cut that is probably based on airflow just like the cut you will hit when boosting too much.

I'm either a pussy, or I'm just really smart...but I don't see myself going over 100 on an interstate. I dunno, I know what my car can do..I trust you guys, but I'm sure as hell not going to do it. lol
i was arrested by an off duty cop last weekend. i think i cut him off doing 130 oh the highway (kmh) he got behind me and started flashing his high-beems at me ... after like 2mins i got fed up so i sped up, started passing cars. went up to maybe 150 ... he was still there doing the same thing. I got scared. Who knows what this guy wants. With all that road rage crap we hear about on tv n stuff, i didnt wana take any chances. so i really started speeding, passing cars left and right ... got up to ~200 then slowed down. he caught up and kept flashing his ******* lights. he then changed lane and started coming up left to me so i jammed the brakes, got behind him and started doing the same thing.thunder said:

after a long talk on the side of the highway (maybe 5mins) he left. i didnt get anything.
yea i know. but i dont think an off duty cop can give you a ticket. He did say that he called for backup to catch my friend ... but by then, he was a few kms ahead of us. I still called him as soon as the cop left to tell him to get off the highway cuz while i was talking with the cop, i saw 3 cop cars pass at like 180 next to us.
The cop said that if i hadnt stopped within 30sec (he had been following me for like 2min30) he wouldve had to call for a backup helicopter to follow me.
I coulda been on tha newz !
EDIT: what scared me the most though is that i really thought the guy wanted to run me off the road or shoot me, so in a way, i felt i was forced to drive that fast ... at 7pm ! the highway isnt exactly empty at that time of the day. I don't mind driving fast at night when there's nobody around, but that was just too crazy. This wasnt something i planned to test, but our car does handle pretty well at 160 ~ 200kmh zigzagging in light traffic.

LOL. Running from the cops swerving through traffic? Been watching too many movies lately? Anyway, the MSP can get up above 140. When I was traveling through North Dakota (when I first got my car), and there was straightaways for ever. I tested my completely stock car and It went over 140. It wasn't accelerating very fast after 130 though.
i wasnt running away from a cop but more from an SUV that was up my bumper flashing his high beams at me
