Took the wife to look at the Mazda6...

That looks pretty sweet. Do the seat covers have writing on them, like do they say R-Racing? That's the only reason I didn't buy any yesterday. Went to Wal-Mart and Pep-Boys. First off, what Wal-mart has for $14.99, Pep Boys has for $39.95. Same Brand. Same Model. Same Packaging. Same damn color name (Braxton Black). Unbelievable. Anyways, I didn't see the R-Racing ones, or I woulda' snapped 'em up in a jiffy!

Nice look!

Just came back from fishin...caught nothin like always  . So its a pretty good deal huh?! Well, I'm not really into Mazda's but my wife wanted the 5 so I guess we're gonna get it tommorrow, depending what kinda APR we gonna get.
The A-Spec Atenza looks like a Mazda I could really get into tho  :D Well, wish us luck that we get 4.9 or lower APR.
And thanks for all yalls input!!

I don't have a rear seat cover. I just scotch guarded the hell out of my back seat.

I have seen a matching cover for a bench seat but it is a one piece thing. Kind of goes against the concept of having a split bench that folds down.

See Ya,

Bill

Trying to get more Arizona people out next weekend for a mountain drive in northern AZ

Arizona Protege 5 mountain drive

Yeah...it's a pain in the @ss in the wife's Highlander. The seat cover in the back makes it a hassle to fold down.

But, then again, can I Scotch-Guard leather?!?

My MP5 has the cloth seats.

I don't know that much about leather car seats. I use a leather lotion for my green leathers that match my NINJA and use the same stuff on my black leather jacket that I wear while on my custom cruiser.

You can get leather lotion at any leather shop.

Like I said I don't know a lot about leather seats, other than motorcycle seats.

Try a search for leather seats or open another thread and post the question for everybode else.

Good luck.

Bill

About the smell, it's normal for most new cars, mine smelled for the first 150 miles or so. All the cars I bought new did that, it's cosmoline and adhesives used to build the car.

I feel like an ad for Checker Auto parts.

Also known as : Checker Auto Parts, Schuck's Auto Supply, and Kragen Auto Parts

Checker sells DUPLI-COLOR paint. This is the METALCAST series ANODIZED SURFACE COLOR SYSTEM.

There is the blue anodized that I used plus there is red and I think a yellow. There is a silver base coat as well.

You can use it over bare metal without the base coat.

I used it over the ends of the chrome lugnuts with out the base coat. For the calipers I had to use the basecoat.

Without the basecoat it shows every imperfection in the metal. It is also a high temp paint. I am considering pulling the off the top of my engine and doing it in the blue anodized. Some of my hoses have steel braided covers with red anodized ends. the blue & red would make a great contrast under my hood.

Whatever you do we want pictures.

Later,

Bill

Ps: It is purt near the same dang color.

Seems wierd someone from Arizona saying they are a redneck. I am used to good ol boys around here drinking bourbon and chewing tobbacco. :D

Ill be sure to post pictures just as soon as I do the paint, seat covers, and the tint. It might be a while though. Thanks for all the help and I am sure that even though you don't work for checker auto or whatever the name is they appreciate the free advertising.
