Tokico mix & match

Has anyone on this forum installed a pair of Tokico Illumina's up front and a pair of non adjustable Tokico Blues(HP) in the rear?
Since I don't want to be dismantling the rear panels each time to adjust the dampening, thought I'd save some bucks and get the Blues for the rears.
I don't think it's a no-no but would like some input/advice before I make the purchase.
As a side question, why are there more people with Tokico's on this forum. Aren't Koni's or Bilsteins just as good, if not better?

I know, lots of tokico love here, not much koni or b ilstein. Koni's are expensive for these cars, you have to hack the strut, I think, no ready made witrh strut bodies, and I haven't even checked if bilstein makes struts for our cars. Good idea, I loved them on my wifes passat. I had tokico dspecs, infinitely adjustable struts, on my impreza, and they were good, but not excellent, imo.

yes you can do that.
some people have done that before on the forums here.
i was gona do that but i gota deal on all 4 blues with tokico p5 springs made to match those blues for 400 :D
if you want springs too check out protegegarage.com and Ken's got the set. for like 500

It takes me less than a minute to adjust the rears on mine. The rear panels snap on and off. You drill a hole in the seatbelt mount for access to the adjuster.

And to top it off, the rears are usually the ones you want to adjust....

Koni will never make direct replacements for the protege. Mazda kinda F'd them back when the Protege MP3 came out.
