to buy, or not to buy

i cant decide if wannna get a MSP, there is only one in the local delearship. i kinda want it, and kinda dont.

i currently have a '01 integra se, but want somethin new, unique, and rare. i love the options on the car, good bang for the buck.

i realize your guys opinions will be a bit biased, but lend a helping hand. apparently there will only be 5 in the province. so very rare.

has anyone installed a NX n-tercooler kit?

thanks.

2001 SE, this is the one with the different wheels right?

Anyways, ask yourself this question. How much $$$ are you going to loose. You have a nice car, is it worth it?

personally, My answer is this. Unless your going to loose WAYYY too much money, trust me, it's worth it. Much better car. Couple of grand is nothing when getting a new car. How's your car? Troubles (doubt it) How about your tires? Need new tires, that's gonna cost you x amount of $$$ anyways right if you do need em.

btw: I've owned 3 Preludes, 92,94,97. Similar to an integra imho. I do miss my heated seats, mirrors, I don't miss my moonroof or cruise. I don't miss how cramped those cars are, nor do I miss my ass%^& Honda dealer. How's your acura dealer? How's the Mazda?

Can you get freedom driving at your Mazda. Basically, all maintenance paid for up to 4 yrs? That's cool too.

Just some thing to think about.

i like the MSP alot, no probs with my car. just time for somethin new.

i just hope the honeys still check out the MSP, like they do the teg.?

honeys are a given :)

I had my honey before the mp3, but I tell ya, she gets a lot of "good" attention from the girls. Especially since I stuck a For sale sign on it, I have more girls then guys coming up to the house to see it.

I even had a 65 yr old chick wanting it :) LOL

Don't waste your money. Take the $23,000 bucks (if you have it) and put a down payment on a Bimmer e46 330ci (or like I should have done, an e46 M3). If you don't have the money and need to make payments, keep the car that you own.

Thread Jack!!!!

Skip the E46 M3, maino. Our local dentist who autocrosses had the old E36 M3 and then went out and bought the new E46. It's heavier, slower, less manueverable, and it's had a recall to replace the crankshaft bearings. Not a good use of $55,000 in my humble opinion.

And the old E36 M3, which is kind of affordable now, has it's own problems: cracked heads and shocks pulled through the sheet metal mounting points are the 2 main ones I can remember.

I think I'll stick with my MSP!

Ok, fine. The e46 M3 is one of -if not the best- cornering car out there. Where did you get that the e46 is slower then the e36 from? The e46 has over 100 hp on the e36. Heavier, sure, but the extra power is makes up for it. The problem with the bearings were only on the 2001 cars, so stay away from those and you are cool. Best of the M3 group is the e30 (that is if you can find an OEM one).

In the future, I'll stick with German Metal! ;)

Getting tired of the Japanese-Crap.

How much bang for the buck?

STI, Evo VIII, Mustang Cobra, Focus Cosworth are pretty good for the money....

or...
WRX, RSX Type-S...

then you have the lower group....

Focus SVT, Neon SRT-4, Mini Cooper, Mazdaspeed, SE-R SpecV...

MOST of the German performance cars are over-priced or just plain expensive when compared to the rest of the world IMO.

Or you can find a USED car that can be a real bang for the buck. With the bad economy... I'm sure you can find plenty of people who NEEDS to sell their fancy modified sports car at a low low cost.

500e is my next car. Maybe as my weekend ride. 326hp v8 0-60 in 5.5sec. and hand built by Porsche & Benz. I had the pleasure of riding in one of these sleepers about a year ago and its been on my mind ever since. This car even has a built in front & rear radar to alert you on speed traps. This was the last of the hand built Mercedes.
