Dues are wack, I don't really want any shirts or things like that. If I want one I'll buy one, but I'm not gonna pay dues so everyone else can have a shirt.

I am on face value in favor of creating such a car club, however it might be useful to get a better sense of just what is required for membership (as mentioned already) - bylaws, dues, attendance, participation, etc. - just my $.02. I did notice, however that many voted not caring... I'd be interested to get more clarification to start such a venture with all the challenges to "please everyone." Go with what's best for the majority and then folks can choose either to join/particpate or not. Nuff said!

I will talk to ghost and 2k3Mazdaspeed, and we will set up some gidelines. We will also be discussing this at Seven Stock this Saturday. Then we can vote on that. Or members can offer rules and suggestions as well. I want everyone to be happy with this outcome.

nO specific meeting spot at Sevenstock. But we are caravanig. I have posted a thread with all the Info for the caravans.

If us Sacramento area people go through with this, I doubt I will be making dues mandatory. Like someone said, you shouldn't have to pay for someone else's stuff. If you want a shirt, pay for a shirt. You want to go out to eat, pay your own way. It just seems easier that way. Maybe after we get a little more info on how dues would be a GOOD thing, then it'll change. For now, no dues.
As mentioned earlier, attendance will be a problem. Local things should be done when it's convenient for everybody, but bigger meets(like all the NorCal people meeting) should be mandatory.
I think we need to Start off with just a NorCal chapter, and when we have enough people for Sacramento to branch off, then maybe we will split it. For now, I think it's best if it includes everyone form the Bay Area through Sacramento. What do you guys think?

I think we need a Nor Cal Chapter and A So Cal chapter. No need to branch things off any more then that. I agree also on Dues. I dont think that they are needed, and as you said 2k3Mazdaspeed, if you want a shirt.. buy one.

I think it's just fine the way it is right now. You know, once a week meet at Life Plaza, no obligation to come out. There are more things in life to worry about than if you can't make it out to a meet then you won't be able to be in a car club. It's just a hobby.

I wont make the meets MANDITORY. I wouldnt want to, and even if i did, it wouldnt be possible.

The only thing I would add is that if you are entering a show, I think you need to wear a shirt. Represent for the club, and give it some exposure. Local meets shouldn't be necessary though, and it seems like we all agree on that.
