Tire Size

hey guys. . . i'm going to be lowering my car a good amount since i got the skunk coilover sleeves and its time for new tires. i was wondering what size i should go with so my wheels don't rub in the back. i have 215/45/17 on there now and when i had my teins on the rear tires rubbed over bumps. any suggestions on a good size i should get?

40 series. Don't go 35 unless you absolutely have to. I have 'em on 18" wheels and my ass is constantly bruised. But that's also due to the other suspension stuff I have, but .. still, y'get my point.

+1...I have 215/35/18's on mine (tokico's) and I can feel the damn paint strips on the street. So you know I cry whenever I get anywhere near a pothole.

so if i go 215/40/17 my rear tires shouldn't rub the inside fender lip if i have ppl in the back seat or go over bumps with my car lowered?

If you're smart about how you lower it -- coilovers are adjustable to whatever height you want, unlike springs that are 'one height fits all' -- then you should be just fine.

Stock suspension on 215/35/18. zero problem unless i'm fully loaded in the back with lots of stuff in the trunk.

Ride wise, I don't see it as harsh or anything.

you should be fine with anything up to a 2" drop with that tire size. more you risk rubbing
