I've been getting rub on my stock tires. I would think this would have been solved by mazda..

If you're rubbing on stock you're car has problems. I'm running 215/40/18's on a 45 offset lowered on Teins and I don't rub a bit.

Did you get this fixed? I jsut got my 2003 MSP and I'm also noticing some tire rub when i crank the wheel in reverse. What was the solution?

my snow tires rub when the wheel is crancked all the way over, but they are 3/8" taller and wider.

Why did you change the overall diameter of your wheel? Now your speedo will be off. But anyhow, you should still not rub. I would get it checked out.

another minnesotan, welcome to the board. vodapas77, what tires do you have?

I have to admit that I'm such a newbie with this. I was out test driving rides for a while when I stumbled across this MSP. What a lot of poeple think is a bad color, happens to my favorite! So like the girl that I am I had to drive it. Then I fell in love with it!

Anyway, I have what the dealer says were original - P215/45 ZR17 Bridgestone Potenza RE040 tires

Mine rub a little when whe wheel is turned all the way and I'm in reverse. Nothing big, and it's not like I'm going fast, so i don't care. I've already burned through my RE040's, and they all wore evenly, so no worries.

Ive noticed rub too in reverse. Also lately my cars handling like s*** and im getting all sorts of weird vibrations. When i drive over 80 the steering wheel sometimes shakes voilently. Does anyone have any ideas?

A shaky steering wheel at high speeds usually means one of your front wheels is out of balance. Take it to your nearest tire shop and have them re-balanced. It'll probably cost like $20-$30.
