Whatsup whatsup,

I haven't been on here in a loooong time. Just blew out a tire from a pothole yesterday, and 2 other tires have bubbles in them. NJ roads for you! My rims are 16x7 Motegi MR116, with a +40 offset I believe. The tires I have now are 205/45/R16, but these roads EAT my tires, so I want something beefier.

Can I do a 205/55 or a 205/50 on these rims with no rub? The car isn't lowered so I'm hoping the 55 is doable.

Thanks!

I put 205/55R16's on my room mates p5 with stock wheels. It's lowered on eibachs and had zero rubbing issues. Not sure how a tire that tall will do with your +40 wheel offset though.

I see plenty of people with that size tire, I'm just hoping someone is rocking that on a wider rim with a similar offset. i'm desperate lol

Here is a site to help with fitment http://www.rimsntires.com/specspro.jsp. I compared what you want to stock and this is the only warning...
"Will fill out the wheelwell by extra 15 mm. Make sure that you have enough room under the fender. If not, consider lower profiles or smaller rims", but you should enter the figures yourself.
