Tire Replacement

I have an '08 CX-9 Touring with the OEM Duelers. So far they have been doing great, with about 28k and roughly 7/32 remaining tread depth. Well, due to my own carelessness I got a sidewall puncture on one of the rears.

I am aware of the AWD factor, but it pains me to part with over $700 for four new ones when the rest have a lot of life left. I have seen some single used Duelers on eBay advertised to have 7/32s left. My questions is how much lateral difference can be tolerated? Let's say due to error in measuring, there turns out to be a 1/32 difference side to side?

I know that I would eventually have to replace them all, but it hurts to ditch three good tires. Shoulf I just suck it up and replace all four?

Thanks in advance.

If you actually live in Colorado (as your user name implies), I'm stunned that you're satisfied with the winter performance of your OEM Bridgestones.

C'mon, dig into those deep pockets and get yourself a set of Yokohama Parada's in the OEM size, and your CX9 will thank you. If you can afford the ride, you can afford the rubber.

BTW, welcome to the forum.

AMEN!!! I live in Colorado, and I replaced the stock tires at 19k - they absolutely stunk in the snow...

Now, I don't drive the 9 much as it's the wife's car, but when I do I am always impressed how much nicer the ride is with the Paradas. Handled great in the snow over the winter.
