anyone tried diffrent tire pressures for auto x or drag racing if soo what have you come up with that works?

i have a reg 3 mind you... granted its not a stock suspension/wheels/tires

i seemed to have a good combination at 34 front and 40 rear probably could have played with the rear a bit more but at that point i think it was more driver then tire pressure that was holding me back.

If you are serious about getting the maximum out of your tires, get a tire pyrometer, something like this:

Check around and find one with the features and budget you can deal with.

After a good hot run, quickly measure and record the temperature of the tread of each tire, inner edge, center and outer edge. This will tell you which part of each tire is working the hardest.
Hot middle, cooler edges - reduce pressure
Hot edges, cooler middle - increase pressure
Hot inside, cooler outside - decrease camber
Hot outside, cooler inside - increase camber

Data is power!

Its so hot over here in Miami, Fl that the tpms system is going crazy with the temp. I can imagine the light being on with that 40psi in the back...thats crazy...

i usually run 5 psi higher than stock then reduce as the tires heat up. my current pressures are 37 front 35 rear on lowered suspension - so i add 5 psi to those and then reduce as needed.

I don't understand. So then you tpms system is always on indicating that pressure and temp is off. It is 34 in the front and 32 in the back for the MS3 stock.

Light....I dont know about all that my light cam on the other day and I looked at the gauge and I was 3-4 psi low, it was a cheep gauge so im not to confident on its accuracy.

Setup....Im just currious what everyone runs when at the track, im looking to run mine sometime soon and was looking for some sort of baceline to start with.
