Mazda CX-5 2.2L Diesel Low Oil Pressure

Good day,

Driving a Mazda CX-5 2012 2.2L Diesel (Japan import).

It’s been complaining of low oil pressure since last year April. Took it to several mechanics and they couldn’t figure out what the issue is. They made me change so many thing (well over $3500 spent on parts).

Changed oil pump, strainer, turbo, bearings, etc and the car still complains of low oil pressure. They even swapped the sensor thinking it’s faulty.

What could be the issue?

Pressure reaches 44.0kPa.

... Pressure reaches 44.0kPa. ...
So that's just over 6psi ... way low.

Those earlier skyactiv-D engines had problems getting plugged up with carbon. It would cake the screen around the oil pump and starve it from oil. Then the low oil pressure would destroy the timing chain and turbo bearings (among other things).

I see that you've changed several of those items but if you've been running with low oil pressure for just over a year, I would think a complete rebuild or replacement will be needed.
