Tire Pressure from Factory

I read on this newsgroup how CX-9's are delivered with too much air pressure. So when I picked up my new CX-9 it seemed as if I was getting a very rough ride. I checked the tire pressure and they were all over inflated to 50 PSI when they should have been 34.
Thanks for the advice.

It happens more often than it should be.
High PSI is there to prevent flat spotting during transportation (our CX9s sat in cargo ship for weeks to get to the ports from Japan).
Dealers are supposed to prep the vehicles before delivery, which includes tire pressure adjustment. Apparently, many mechanics over-looked that (and probably other area also, like fluid level, etc.) Better do a complete check yourself.

Same thing happened to me with our new CX9. 51 psi measured two days after delivery.

Totally technician's laziness on doing a proper PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection) .They don't get paid much to do it so some (not all) technicians do a half a$$ job on PDIs. I would follow Ceric's reccomendation and check that all fluids are at their proper level as well.

Mine was delivery to me a bit low at 30psi. Considering the car was only on the lot for two days before it was sold to me. I don't think it would have deflated itself, I guess the technician let out too much air on mine.
