What did you MAM guys do for the Oil Return bung. Did you get a fitting? or did you fit a bung with the threads on the outside? (is that still a bung?) My oil pan is dented from some sort of impact(s). I think I will wait on the new one from MAM, and just keep using mine for now.
glyph said:oh yeah, i'm also trying to figure out where that little air filter goes, too
bazooka joe said:beau supplied the fitting, you just need to get it welded to the pan at the right height, read the directions for this measurement. ya, i'm going to upgrade my pan too!
8. Clean the oil pan. Clean the adhesive off. You may want to get a gasket scraper to get it all off. Best bet is to buy "starting fluid" at NAPA. If not available, use a wash screen and get all the grime off. It needs to be a NICE flat, non sticky surface. VERY clean. Spend 30mins cleaning it. Look at where the oil return line is. Near the top. Make SURE the top of the oil pan (where the adhesive was) is clean with no imperfections so it will sit nice and flat and so no leaks will occur. If there are ANY bends on the "lip" of the pan, straighten them out.
glyph said:neither was in there. pdhaudio's website has a picture of a oil pan with a bung already installed. It doesn't appear to really matter, as long as it is within reach of the return line:

Murda said:Does anyone have a picture of the location of the return bung? As far as I know, those directions didn't give you measurements. Unless "Near the top" was the measurements.
What is the purpose of the breather filter? Didn't notice that in the directions either.

I tried removing the red part and putting it on first, but then it collapses the inner hole and I can't get the other part in.
I tried keeping them together and pushing it on but I can't get it on very far.
Suggestions?
