tints on rear windows?

I live in new jersey and going illegal with the tints isnt an option. do you guys think that this would be an improvement to just do the rear windows tinted.

I go dark no matter what. The phrase "Once you go black, you never go back" seems to stick in my head for some reason. Nebraska laws are as follows:

Front Side Windows Must allow more than 35% of light in.
Back Side Windows Must allow more than 20% of light in.
Rear Window Must allow more than 20% of light in.

I go straight 15% all the way around. I do like your tint that you have on your car now though.

i like it but in PA you cant have your front 2 windows tinted so im used to seeing alot of cars like that. and where i live they started pulling ppl over for having a windshield sticker that goes below the AS1 line, a kid in the car club im in got pulled over for it and his sticker not joking was about 1in below the AS1 line so the cop gave him a ticket for it and is making him take if off, PA is gay.

Just give the front a light tint (I'm going for 30% all around) and you shouldn't have any problems, just as long as the tint lines don't show up and cops can't do s***.

what do you mean they can't do s***. do they have to have proof or something to give you a ticket.

there's a meter out there that gives you the light transmisision of the glass

my understanding though -- they can ticket you, but if you go to court and have paperwork proving that it passes the test, it will be thrown out. Problem is, you still have the time and money wasted fighting the ticket

but in my experience, as long as you aren't acting stupid you should be ok

As long as the tint shop gets it done right, they can't prove that it was the aftermarket tint, but rather the stock tint.

30% all around is the perfect compromise. as far as tints go, it isnt too dark from outside when your sitting inside a car cause you can see light pass thru on a sunny day, but its also dark enuf that it will make your car better lookin and it cut down on glare when driving. i have 30% in penna and the cops have never stopped me.

+3 on the 30%. I drive by cops all the time with them and never had problems. If I see cops up ahead I'll usually play it safe and roll my windows down anyway, same goes for the one time I got pulled over since I got them done. The cop never asked me to roll them up.

in pa any car 1998 and newer that didnt come with factory tint has to have all 4 windows clear or 75% tint which is purple
yea i got a 106.50 ticket and had to peal all 4 on my audi but i think im gonna get 35% all around on this car had 20 on the last but it was black

i had trouble when i had 20% but i have 35% and i have been pulled over a couple times know and they have never said anything to me about it.
