Thump/Jerking when shifting into reverse

It's definitely a good news although we really don't want any major problems like this from an almost new car. Your Mazda dealer is nice and didn't give you a hard time to replace your transmission. However, they're short of loaner cars available for such issues. Usually people get a loaner car even for several months if the replacement transmission or engine isn't readily available.

Yeah, honestly didn’t expect the dealer to offer a transmission replacement as a first option within 24 hours. And I also didn’t expect to get the transmission replaced on a rather new car.
The dealer was trying to give me a loaner and I assume they would have given it to me if they found one. They said Mazda said the car is perfectly safe to drive; and that ended up saving them from trying to find a car.

They replaced the transmission. The issue is still there. I'll bring it back on Monday.
