Throw away the rep system

Yeah I have to agree I think there should only be a rep system for selling and buying other than that it's just stupid not only that now that your sn is automatically signed I think this will cause a huge flamewar for ex. someone gets negative rep so they give that person neg rep back and then both of them start a pointless thread about why the other one gave the other one neg rep it's just a stupid system that never had a purpose and now it's just abused.

for those of you complaining how useless rep is now cause of my thread, you guys are on crack. It was useless before cause people didn't give vredit where credit was due and was only based on e-popularity. Also, they just handed out neg rep for the stupidist s***. Thats why I came up with the thread. It didn't mean anything then, and it means nothing now. So wether you get rid of it or not, in the end it's worthless no matter what. But it's cool having all them green b00bs But, if you want to get rid of it, then go ahead.


if you can comeup with a proven system then go right ahead, I'd love to see it. Just as long as it gets used. Unlike the old rep system where it wasn't used right even before my thread.

Either that or it should be like optional let's say I don't want to use the rep system make it so everything gets deleted and I'am not allowed to give or recieve rep and if I ever want to use it again which I would'nt it would come back.

This is another example of a useless and pointless thread. The points dont mean anything, so whats the big deal? Its not like you have to look at someones rep count. The reputation thread is just a place to chat and kill some time. If you want to stop people from wasting band width go check out the size of the hot girl thread, its about 10x bigger...... .....Im just making a point (not trying to say we need to get rid of it).

But yes, I do agree a system of feedback for a transaction of goods would be nice to have. There is alot of scamming going on and it needs to be stopped.

the rep system was meant for mods and admins to give positive or negative feedback based on complaints, and investigating said complaints regarding vendor and non-vendor sales.

that being said , it went "public" as a test run, allowing anyone to give rep points.

at some point, i would hope that it either goes to its meant purpose, or is eliminated. at least now, there isnt anonymous rep going on.

Personally I don't care what they do with it. Making it moderator only though would be stupid though - it'd just turn into a "teacher's pet" sort of thing most probably.
