Throttle Body non electric?

I noticed that butterfly from the cx-7 TB is electric, not like older cars wich is pedal to wire operation. Sometimes "most of the times" I thought it was turbo lag but it was really the TB not opening as soon I hit the gas pedal. I have own 2 turbo cars and they respond very quickly before the turbo kicks in.

This engine is much better and is rare that you get that poor take off sometimes

The term is "Drive by wire" and is now used in many newer vehicles. I have seen many reports of a "different feel" or unusual response with drive by wire systems.
