Thoughts for Mods of the Mazdaspeed

I had a 2001 Subaru Impreza 2.5 RS coupe. His name was Pych Blk - because in the beginning I had big big big designs for him involving everything on him being black! Plus I love that movie!!!

"Pitch Black" is the name of one of my PC's.

I would like to know what some modifications that you have done or would do to your Mazdaspeed.
I haven't done anything yet except put Mobil 1 synthetic oil in it. I would like to do some more stuff to my car though and here are some of the things I was thinking (and of course I would like to get a ton more ideas!)

First off cosmetic:
TINTING; - I miss my tinting! At least it is raining non-stop in VA so I don't have to worry about it as much!
Moonroof!; - I miss this too, but as I said non-stop rain doesn't make it seem as missed!
Hood; - I miss my aggressive hood scoops on my Subaru Impreza, (any good suggestions let me know!)

Power, Performance:
Well in this area I am not sure yet; I don't want to go too overboard till I know how much I can spend! Plus I am having a hard time finding parts on the internet for the Mazdaspeed. If you have suggestions for any good websites PLEASE let me know!

Sunroof will be costly for a good one...but aftermarket sunroofs tend to have problems.

Yes...they WILL weaken the frame's integrity...but not so much that you'll notice it.

Too many people saying "sunroof makes a car handle worse" Then tell me this, do you handle better than a Porsche 911? And yea...Those 911s have sunroofs (well all the one's I've seen) and they handle good...

If it really hindered performance, I don't think Porsche would of included one.

But aftermarket ones...avoid.

Hoods you can get a CF hood with scoops...and you could probally find other cosmetic mods as well.

Performance...Injen has a CAI...and that's all I know of for now...you can always get custom stuff. All depends what you want/need.

RS 2.5 coupe...the nicest impreza...well I like the new 2004 STi designs...but...the neon style lights are just fugly.

Get an underdrive pulley! I know I am the only advocate on here for it but thats because people have misconceptions towards them on turbo applications. I have better response and faster acceleration. I hope to have dyno results with the UDP and with UDP & CAI by thursday and then all will see its glory

underdrive pulley's will be the death of your car man, don't do it, don't give into the darkside.

blah blah blah. i don't see the Glassman's TT RX-7 "timebomb" going to hell in a handbasket. underdrive pulley's are fine.
