Was cruising the Dallas Craigslist and happened across this..

I'm in NO way affiliated with this seller...I just found this to be a pretty good deal considering what's offered. Thought I'd make everyone aware in case someone's in need, or someone just wants to attempt a good upgrade.

In the top right pic you can see the turbo compressor still with the hose to the tmic. I emailed them about buying it. How do you buy stuff like this and not get scammed?

Buying most anything from Ebay, Craigslist, etc is always a leap of faith. If it were me, I'd request to speak with him on the phone and get his physical address. Another option is to request that he take another picture of the engine with a piece of paper attached that has his name and phone number on it....basically for authentication purposes. I've personally never been scammed by any of my purchases on Craigslist or Ebay, so I won't say "Dont Do It", but like anything else, there's always risk involved.

Thats a SMOKIN deal! Buddy just sold an 06 MS6 complete motor with spun rod bearing for 3500.

Its sort of too good to be true price. I think I will have to pass. I asked for larger and more pics and I got the same 4 slightly bigger. He said it was from E-bay but not the one with the whole in the oil pan (gdorris). I guess if I got his address could someone could go make sure the block isn't gernaded and still spins freely?
