Nice golf man...you planning to do any mods to it now thats its off daily use or you just gonna keep it stock

It's not stock, it looks like it:D It's a total sleeper...

It will run circles around any MP5 or MP3 including mine:(

Great minds think alike

.....used to be my daily driver..... Red 2002.5 P5 is in my garage now.....

Thats pretty cool....sleeper doesn't even begin to describe that GXL. Wish I could do the same with my pro, but cash and the aftermarket don't seem to wanna get on my side.

my backup

This is my backup. I may have a backup to my backup soon with my eye being on the wrx. The awd is what I'd really like to have when going boarding. Nothing beats having nice low-pro wheels and not having to have chains! I used to have a '85 rabbit & a 90 GTI also. Both nearly bankrupted me.

I wish I had kept my old car now that I look back on it. I had a 1993 Honda Accord with a few things added. It would have come in handy, but oh well, Nice VW's BTW!

Hey, why don't we have a virtual car show here in this thread? j/k hehehe I'm sure I would've been able to dig up some more pics.

Sorry guys, nice cars, but I just don't dig VW's. When a dealership tells you that it is normal for your new car to burn oil, so "just run thicker oil" that is not a product that I would own. Also, everybody that I know has had problems with them. My buddies girlfriend had a 99 GTI, nice car, but gave her all kinds of problems. Two other buddies have had several Jetta's between them, both always have problems. Another guy has a new beetle, he has had several problems. Maybe Ohio just gets all the reject VW's. I will say one thing, when tweeked properly, they can be damn fast and they sound awesome. A screaming VR6 is a lovely sound. Like I said, nice cars you guys have, but you won't see one in my driveway unless somebody is visiting, but I keep an oil catch pan around for those occassions, LOL. J/K!!

LOVE the white Golf! Nice & clean lines. Is it all original? (Paint, rims, etc) If you're looking to sell it, you'll have no problems doing so. Especially with how clean it looks & how much in demand it is.

Haha just to break up all the VWs, this is what's hiding in my garage.. It's my mom's, or maybe my dad's? I forget, but it's a crazy car, and this picture is from when it was new.. Mmm. 86 Fiero GT. :D

Haha, my buddy still has one of these!! It sets at his parents house collecting dust and providing a home for small rodents, hehe. It still runs pretty good I guess, but the clutch needs replaced and it will not pass emissions testing?? I'm glad, hehe.

I have a friend who owns a 01 Wolfsburg and hes a hardcore vw guy...almost his entire family own jettas. I'm very curious about these reliability issues I hear/read about...whenever I try to bring it up to my friend he gets overly defensive.

I love the interiors and those sweet 1.8t engines...but are they really that trouble prone? Too much hidden cost cutting? Also...the whole normal to burn oil thing...what the hell is that about? That is something associated with high mileage engines (bad seals...low tolerances?)

I know exactly what you mean Antione, two of the people that I know that have had them and have problems get all defensive when the subject is brought up and they immediately start bashing other makes of cars. I'm always telling them it doesn't matter to me what sport compact they drive, I like them all, I would just never own a VW.

Reliability is the reason I'm driving a Pro5 now...

Reliability is the reason I'm driving a Pro5 now instead of a VW. VWs, when they are 100%, are among the best driving/handling/performing car on the road, but they will drive you crazy with all the niggling problems.....O2 sensors, MAF sensor, ECU problems, ABS problems, etc. The engine & trannys are fairly reliable, but that friggin' Check Engine Light & ABS light comes on anytime you even get near a VW dealership.

Love my Pro5, to me it's Japanese 4 Dr GTI 2.0 16V with the reliability built in........
