but the "specs" on the 2003 P5 are out. Some interesting things:

(1) The ABS/side airbag package now available without having to get a moonroof ($490 option)
(2) Moonroof now packaged with 6-disc changer ($690 for package)
(3) Yet the 6-disc changer is still available as stand-alone option ($500 option)
(4) 16" polished alloys available, but requires moonroof/6-disc package ($500 for alloys + $690 for moonroof/6-disc)
(5) floormats now standard
(6) laser blue mica color option

I have mixed emotions about this...

On one hand I feel it will look great on the P5

BUT on the other hand I kinda hoped that it would be an MP3 only color(atleast in the US)

But it's cool I guess, can't wait to see an MP3 converted P5!

Nope. There was Emerald Blue Mica and that Crystal Blue. The closest thing would be the 10th AE blue.

actually, they did. it was only available through the internet special order that mazda offered early last year.

not sure if mine was a mistake, but my 2002.5 MP5 came with a 6-disc changer, and i didn't pay extra for it...

also, i got the floormats for free cause i told them it was ridiculous to not offer them as standard equipment.

AND, i paid $16,200 for mine.

PS: wasn't cruise control an option, too? mine came with it. not that that's a big deal, because i never use it, and may remove it.

I only paid 13,970 for mins and it came with roof rack and covers .. cargo tray and net .. moon roof also the floor mats and it was all free .. the car was not even used either but at the last min .. the guy at the dealership was like oh we made a mistake you want teh one with the sunroof and it is 750 more .. i told him infront of my wife and the owner .. "well due to your screw up your about to lose a customer and ill take my bmw z-3 back right now .. " how would your manager like that" .. well needless to say i got it for free hehe i am such a s*** sometimes

i am one of the customers that they hate to have

they needed to get sales in and on there slow months ... they will discount one car super low to get people in the door and he almost begged me not to get ti .. because if they are slow again they have to discount another .. .hehe so i stuck to is and told them to suffer the loss

I think there were 156 sold, give or take a couple.

They offered the "internet specials" only in laser blue, and vivid yellow, and the yellows outsold the blues about 4 to 1 - Miata has never had a yellow except for a 3 month production run of 1500 cars in 1992.

the internet special were built to order any way you wanted them. if i wanted a yellow with black cloth, suspension package, and hard top, i could have had it that way.

here is one (less hard-top)

and the 2002 SE Blazing Yellow was the first miata with black leather available in the states. the 2002 LS's were only available with tan leather. (along with all other LS models)
