A couple of days ago took the msp to the dealer for tire rotation and oil change at 11,354 miles. Now I told them about vibration from susp while driving and also brakes vibrate when pressed. So a day later they call and said they turned the rotors and that fixed the problem. When I returned to pick up car I insisted on seeing the car up on the rack. Guess what tires are fuking shot, all of them. Time to play ball and they knew it was coming. So to make a long story short they said that they could not replace tires only bridgestone could. Called bridgestone and they said it was an align. problem. Called dealer back and they got bad and said that is not poss. Called my lawyer and also mazda north america and also better buis. bur. They got a call from mazda north america and also from my lawyer. Now the fuk heads are fixing everything and my new tires are in and they will have the car ready by 3:00 today. It so sorry that us owners have to crack balls to get something done......................

Outstanding! I have almost 27,000 miles on my OE's. Plenty of treadlife left. Goodyear GS3's are ready and waiting. No way your tires should have been run down at 11,000 miles.

I got 20K out of mine...but if your into a lot of 'spirited' driving, those RE040's w/ their 140 treadwear rating aren't going to last too long...

Nice! Glad to hear it worked out for you. I've got 10,300 on my re040s and they're almost done, but it's from driving/autocrossing.

When I was at the dealer parts department the other day I saw a blue bound folder on the top of a book shelf that said something like "Mazda Guide To Avoiding Lemonlaw Arbitration". Gee, ya'd think they have had a problem with this sort of thing.(scratch)

Which dealer around here KSW? Sorry to hear you had to fight for it, but glad you got it worked out.

Yea it's amazing how the dealers or rat's like to work. This is just bulls*** we will or I will not tolerate. So yea pull some teeth and make the sales and service people lick your ass.
And one more thing, if they didn't fix the car I was going to take it out of the service reps ass. Fuk head, yea I'm still pissed.

doesn't the MSP have a specific alignment chart jsut for it?? If I remeber correctly it's not set to maintain maximum tread life....I haer about 20K is all you'll get out of a set.

I really don't know I'll try to reasearch that. If so that really sucks. After about another year or so I'm going to by a 350z.

I got 33,000 out of mine but they were starting to look pretty bad.
Goodyear F1 GS-D3 are the GREATNESS!

I'm not sure I get it. WAS it an alignment problem? Did they give you an alignment?

The car was not aligned properly for delivery I suspect. Selling dealer must not have checked it out. It does suck that you have to involve so many allies in your fight against the dealers, but sometimes thats the only thing that they understand.

-The reason dealerships give people such hard times (pertaining to the tire issue) is because the dealerships have to fight to get the money for tires from the warrenty company. They give the customers hard times because most factory warrentys (including Mazda) do not under any circumstances pay for tires. This means that the dealership would have to make a claim to the tire company for a defective tire (in which most they lose.) That means they get stuck eating the tire and labor costs. By making a big stink about it you got Mazda to "goodwill" some tires, thus. garunteeing the dealership that Mazda would pick-up the tab. Everytime I have a customer that has tires worn prematurely I always tell them to get on the phone and make a big stink about it, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

KSW, I love you. More people need to kick the dealer's/Mazda's ass into honoring the warrenties they forced us to buy. If they don't want to honor it then they shouldn't make me buy the F-ing thing.(thumb)(thumb)(thumb)(thumb)
