<!-- message -->I don't care what kind of car they're driving. I don't cut breaks based on that. But if someone has their car all tricked out like a wanna-be race car with fart pipe exhaust, fat tires, heavy tint, loud stereo, or a wing on the rear deck, I almost never cut breaks. They usually always get written for whatever I saw them do that led me to stop them.

And anyone with a radar detector gets every ticket I can write them.

So what?

Most ricers (ricers described above in the law enforcement post) drive like assholes. It is the officer's discretion to write a ticket or not.

You need to find another post to copy and paste because that one proves nothing.

well I cant speak for other cops around the states, but Suffolk County Cops are assholes. They let the fact that they are the most well paid cops in the country get to there heads and think they are the s***. well, not all of them but a really really really big majority of them are

the truth.....? YOU CANT HANDLE THE TRUTH!!!
NO TRUTH HANDLER, YOU! BAH! I DERIDE YOUR TRUTH-HANDLING ABILITIES!

Ricer=idiot who wants to be noticed, but whines when he's noticed by the cops.

I just see it as them doing their job. Sure, they can get a little big-headed and take advantage of their power, but heh. I've had some bad times with cops but I won't sit here and knock on them.

The problem is though -Kristin, they don't do it uniformly and consistantly. If they're going to let Little Johnny Straight Laces off for speeding but then NOT let Little Johnny Ricer off for the same violation simply because he has a big fart can or wing on his car, that qualifies as the cop being an asshole. Cops would actually be viewed as less assholiness if they'd just enforce everything by the book 100% of the time instead of using "personal discretion".

I agree with the original poster simply because I've been in this situation -- I SLOWLY rolled through a stop sign one time, in such a way where any normal person would have been simply stopped and warned to not do it again, but since I drive an orange car with a too-big wing on it (all stock BTW), the cop decided to be a fuckface and give me a ticket for it in addition to exagerating the circumstances in his description of the violation on the ticket. Are they all like this?--no, but that's like saying all s*** might not taste bad if you just tried it....I'd rather just make a generalization and say all s*** tastes bad, just like all cops are assholes.

I understand that. BUT street racing is becoming more of a thing these days. -shrugs- I really have nothing to say with that because I do understand where you are coming from. Sure, it's retarded how that can happen, but their job is to keep the street's safe and when they see something like they automatically assume you are a racer or whatever and just do it for scares. It's like a reminder that they are there.

My friend that has the EVO used to get pulled over all the time just because he had a EVO. He accidently swerved a bit on the road while looking for his CD and got pulled over just for that. blah blah, i'm lost now..

Yes, but you still broke the law. You can't expect to be let off if they catch you. If they do let you off, it's because they are feeling generous.

This is why I always stop at stop signs.

Most cops are decent human beings.

thank you.

ps: [05:07] kristinleaownz: i was responding to this thread

You break the law every time you go 1 MPH over the speed limit. Do you expect to get pulled over and TICKETED for that offense? No. They don't pull you over because going 1 MPH over isn't that unsafe - and I can assure you that when I SLOWLY rolled through that stop sign it also was not unsafe - it was akin to going 1 MPH over (I won't go into the whole circumstances unless somebody actually cares and wants to hear it).
