In the meantime

(eek)

Soo I ended up switching up and re-editing the whole second half of the video. I ran out of footage too work with, so I just did what I could with it. Let me know what you guys think, enjoy!

Thanks Bro. Good to hear. Me too, wish I had a better second half to support the first haha.

Would anyone be interested in one-off wooden & weighted shift knobs? I'm thinking about doing some custom lathe turned knobs. If anyone might be interested let me know :)

Edit: Wooden* not wooded lol

I would definitely be interested in a shift knob

Alright cool we'll be in touch about those.

Trowback to the first day I got the wheels on. All four, that is.

I have been wanting to tint my fender lights, did it a few years back but it came out way too dark. Did you use vinyl, good ol' nightshades or legit black/clear paint mix?

Same, that niteshade s*** is s***. Tried different things for a long time before actually printing 'tint' on vinyl. Lemme know if ya need any ;)

Nightshade is tricky. You don't want full coverage when spraying. At first, it globs up when sprayed on (like water beading on a good wax job), but then it pulls together in an amazing act of osmosis and looks great. The second issue when using nightshade is needing to protect it. Most people spray and go. The tint eventually dulls/oxidized and looks like a terrible, flat, carbon buildup. The first time I tinted my tails, I had my shop do it and they blacked the tails out. I hated it. I wetsanded the tails back to the plastic and tried again, shooting for a 15% tint. After achieving the look I desired, I cleared over the tails using a spray gun. After 5 years, they still look glossy and great!

lol Cameron with the how to's. I wouldn't call niteshades tricky, it's made to be user friendly. The quality of the finish just isn't.. nice. I still have it on both my proteges taillights, I even used it for my front corners before I printed tint. Clear coat is a must, polishing it helps a lot too. But still, I feel the finish is unsatisfactory, personally.

^I agree completely. Nightshade is good for the tinting part, but that's all. It's not magic in a can, lol. If you want a good, finished product, you must clear and polish. I do buff and wax mine on occasion. Let me know how the tint film holds up. I'm curious if it hazes over time. You can however buff vinyl back to it's original luster, so that may be an option.

Car looks great as always Gray!

I would really really be interested in a wooden shift knob! Hands down!(nana)

Im confused as to why you "printed tint" when they already have numerous translucent vinyls out there specifically for glass and lenses like that. Oracal makes a really good one actually

I can print my own, and I buy it elsewhere lol You still have to buy the material, and the ink, and the printer. Either way you are paying for something. I guess for small pieces it makes sense if you already have the stuff....other wise seems kind of pointless
