The perfect license plate frame?

Something to be aware of: Depending on your state and therefore the design of the plate itself, you may or may not want a thick bottom bezel. Some are a lot wider and can impede on the words. e.g. the California one requires somewhat of a thinner frame style vs the wide type.

NY State reg says no part of the plate may be obscured. 99 times out of 100 the thicker bottom will not cause a problem but occasionally you'll get a summons for the thicker bottom, especially in NYC.

That's why I went with this type from Amazon. It has a clear cover helping to keep the plate clean.

Anyone not using a frame at all? I hate the rattling noise whenever I close the hatch.

Does anyone use BumpShox XL(2.0, 3.0) - Front Car Bumper Protection, Ultimate Front Bumper Guard. Front Bumper Protection License Plate, for their front end. Also what about the bumper bully mats for the rear end. I need something for these aggressive parkers in NYC.

LOL...I just go with shaded plastic cover from Canadian Tire (not the clear one....the shaded one). 10 bucks and it looks nice enough for me.

Bon

Me. I have one of these on my CX-5 and would hate to obscure the bottom phrase.
