That doesn't come carbonated :(

Seriously though, I don't want to die.

Just needs an "illest" sticker to go with the slammed and stretched look. Bleh.

anyone know of someone parting out a 2004-2005 mazda 3? I found an engine with 70k miles on it but its from a 2007 and the cams, crank pulley, crank position sensor, timing cover and cam position sensor are different. and I am not sure that I want to screw with the engine that much

Am I the only person that doesn't like the new Miata at all? They had so much potential and I did a giant palm to face when they unveiled it.

There's a part out car in Columbus on craigslist. I'm assuming yours is the 2.3l, but there's also a 2.0l as well.

I don't like it either but I didn't want to ruffle anyone's feathers. I thought Alfa Romeo had more to do with the final design than just the chassis so I was expecting more of an Italian body. But I was waiting to see it in person before I really start saying it's fugly.

Thing is... they had that rumor mill going on when it was first being designed, but I don't think that partnership with Alfa developed at all.

I'm not sure where you guys are getting your information...

MAZDA AND FIAT TO ANNOUNCE CO-OPERATION PROGRAM
May 22, 2012

Mazda Motor Corporation (Mazda) and Fiat Group Automobiles S.p.A. (Fiat) have signed a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the development and manufacturing of a new roadster for the Mazda and Alfa Romeo marques based on Mazda's next-generation MX-5 rear-wheel-drive architecture.

The study calls for both Mazda and Fiat to develop two differentiated, distinctly styled, iconic and brand-specific light weight, roadsters featuring rear-wheel drive. The Mazda and Alfa Romeo variants will each be powered by specific proprietary engines unique to each brand.

The project assumption is that both vehicles will be manufactured at Mazda's Hiroshima, Japan, plant with production for Alfa Romeo envisaged starting in 2015.

"Establishing technology and product development alliances is one of Mazda's corporate objectives and this announcement with Fiat is an important first step in that direction. It is especially exciting to be collaborating with such a prestigious marque as Alfa Romeo on a new roadster based on the next-generation MX-5, which is such an iconic vehicle for Mazda and recognized as the best-selling roadster of all time." said Takashi Yamanouchi, Mazda's Representative Director and Chairman of the Board, President and CEO.

"This agreement clearly demonstrates our commitment to Alfa Romeo and the determination to grow it into a truly global brand. By partnering with Mazda, we will be co-operating with the recognized leader in compact rear-drive vehicle architectures in order to deliver an exciting and stylish roadster in the Alfa Romeo tradition. We are appreciative of this collaboration with Mazda and look forward to maintaining a fruitful and continuous relationship." said Fiat CEO Sergio Marchionne.

The Final Agreement is expected to be signed in the second-half of 2012.

Mazda and Fiat have also agreed to discuss further opportunities for co-operation in Europe.

^^^ Thank you! There's so much speculation and gossip going on right now (forum-wide) this place is beginning to remind me of high school.

I finally broke down and threw ads for the 2 up on Cars.com, Autotrader, and Craigslist. I'll give it a few weeks and if I don't get any bites it's off to Carmax to see what they'll offer.

okay I've found two engines.
one is a direct plug n play from a 2004 that has 130k miles on it. Timing is said to be checked and kept an eye on between 150-200k - $300
OR...
one from a 2007 with 70k miles would need to swap over the cams, cam position sensor, crank position sensor, crank pully, timing cover. Would have to retime the engine to do this and buy new friction washers and crank bolt to do this. - $500

What would you guys do?

bolt in engine

anybody remember what is the link to the Continental Tire discount website? I've used it before, but I can't find the link
