The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

Agreed, especially with a tune from two years ago, his afrs @ WOT could not have been any better!

Should we set soemthing up for the next Dyno day? I should have Spicy back and I will be installing the TIP on "Whitey" later this week?
I'm down for the June 14 one. Would have to run early, and dip out early too though.have some plans later in the day

Anthony’s curve is what stock should look like.
Jake … well, there seems to be a lot more potential there. Damn.
Vedran’s curves are gorgeous – no home. Who did the tuning?

Interesting to see fi vs na engine curves. Bav’s power is flat at the end while turbos die out. Ha.

Jake's car will be even more ridiculous once he's on a built motor. And also once cobb gives us the ability to rev out to 8k

V was tuned by one of the guys on MSF (dizzy tune)

I would be up for another dyno day as well. That was a fun day. But I wish I could be the DJ or they could just NOT have a DJ. That ******* club music at 9am was pissing me right off. #musicsnobproblems
Agreed. Lol

If I recall correctly, we have a number of people headed to Columbus for the Ford Fiesta ST Challenge on the 14th, as the 15th is Corey Fest at the Toledo Express Airport. I have no issue not making the trip Columbus! Let me now and I will get with Jason on the Mazda Day Dyno Two-

1. I was genuinely interested in what the Bavaria put down. What was going on with run 4?

Yeah, I have absolutely no idea what all that's about. The tires aren't the greatest and you could see the car physically shaking on the dyno, as if they were flat spotted... which could have been the case. But why one and not the other? Who knows.

The Webers on that car are a little too small for it. Yes, it's running rich, but the carbs won't draw much more air through them. With the factory Zenith 35/38's, I could probably get an extra 10-15 hp up top. Dad has a set of them at home. Maybe some experimentation is in order.

I have CPE Headers and Intake on mine and had 210 WHP at Mid Ohio a few years back
I don't think CPE makes them anymore (Headers or Intake), or at least they are not listed on the website.
Yeah, all you guys had good looking graphs. Especially compared to mine... :(
Factory Tune FTW!?!?

You know you wanted to bust a move.

Are the 35/38's from the factory pretty much optimal or are there gains to be had going bigger? Any manifold options out there for DCOE carbs? I'm pretty sure you can get them in 40 and 45 mm and maybe even 48 mm.

I was dying, I can't handle dubstep ALL day. I'd rather have no music. There were a couple times when the music would be making a sound that I freaked because its not a sound you want to hear when a car is on the dyno. When Dever's car was on they were making a noise that sounded like his car was going to blow.

Good deal, but yeah I'd pay more to not have to wear that color. Lol!

I'm still tempted. Yellow is one of the colors I'm considering for the 7. The other thought I had was other than white, it's probably the coolest (temperature-wise) color you can get.

The ticket ordering link does not work off the flyer. Call Rob to order your tickets.

Camping pass is $100 for the whole weekend for an infield camping spot.

Mazda Owners' Corral will be located inside Turn One once again! Can't beat that view!!

We look forward to seeing YOU at the races!!

There aren't many manifold options for the engine. There's a 3 Weber setup floating around, the marine engines had a 4 barrel manifold (impossible to find), and the one that I have. I've not seen any DCOE setups on these cars, but the 35/38's make a nice difference. Webers get the mileage, Zeniths get the power. The other option is fuel injection. Easy to install but I'd really rather keep the car close to factory. The '76 that I may pickup has a fuel injection setup on it.
