The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

Don't hold your breath. More 'ghost' issues. :/

And damn that grass. It's growing way too fast. How do you people put up with this ish?!!

At times I have been know to put of mowing it for two weeks, instead of every week, and not give a crap.

Been there done that too. Only problem is I couldn't mow it every week due to weather and work and the following week I'd have to mow it twice....raise deck, mow...lower deck, re-mow. Now that the boy is older though he likes to mow...with a little financial incentive. ;) haha Well worth it though as I can then break out the weed eater and then focus on other things.

Just mowed yesterday and was going fast and wasn't paying attention to the muddy part of my ditch and nailed it at an angle and put the wheel out of wack. Gotta see what I bent and fix it because she is a pain to get to drive straight. I didn't think it was as tall as it was and mowed it at the normal height as I did last week and it looked like hell and had to mow it again to chop up the piles of grass. Wasn't a happy camper

I always bag the backyard until June because of that, although it sucks with a decent sized back yard. I bag the front all summer to keep my neighbors happy.

Well neither of my neighbors mow their grass anymore so Mine automatically looks better and I don't live in the city. I have over an acre and I am not about to bag/rake that s***

But Nate it's better to leave the clippings on the ground. They help prevent weeds from growing and help to fertilized the new grass. And of course my township got tired of picking up bags of clippings from every house so they suggest you leave them where they lay.

Yea, I started bagging (it looks much nicer), but don't want to waste the garbage bags on the grass. So I'm just dumping it behind the garage now. We'll see how big of a pile I can accumulate...

.. maybe I'll switch up every week.

The amount of sore I am from only 2 sessions on track with a car with actual power steering is a little bit ridiculous.

My parents used to just put it behind the barn at our old house and we had a pretty good size pile after 13 years. was about 10ft by 10ft by 4ft never got much bigger than that

My legs were so sore after the track day I did last season from holding myself in place because the seats in the ms3 are made to handle muc bigger people than me

Switch to accessport and let freek, Nishan, or Mark tune your car ;)

They have the most experience with PI speeds

I know, but when it's this long it and forms piles it also kills the grass underneath it and creates weeds later. It's a catch-22. IF we ever do a garden I will use the clippings as mulch for it. The clippings are great for composting.

I'm feeling that pain right now. I have a huge bruise on the outside of my left knee from bracing myself on the door.

Racing seats and harnesses are so worth it on the track. Not only for safety but for comfort as well.

I agree. At least in the Miata, bracing on the door was easy because it was so close. I didn't brace at all in the Fiat, I have a feeling that's why my shoulders and lower arms (above the wrist) are so sore. Coming out of the keyhole I had to pull myself back up into my seat, somehow that turn slid me down in my seat lol.

The first couple sessions I did on Friday my hands hurt so bad because I was gripping the steering wheel so hard to hold myself in place, it was terrible.

LOL, did the ide alongs help you out there? I agree with Will, having a racing seat help a great deal, I actually felt more confident and felt that I got better feedback from the car as well.

I like my seats but I really want that $900 Recaro from Track First. Anyone want to buy some Corbeau FX1's? haha

But if I ever ran with NASA doesn't the passenger seat have to match the driver seat as far as safety goes?

Negative. You just have to have equal levels of safety equipment.

Meaning, you can't stick the passenger on a milk crate with a piece of string while you're all cushy in your $900 race seat with the latest belts. ;)

Know exactly what you mean. If it's longer and I mow I'll bag it and throw it in bags for the township to pick up. They went from picking up four bags a week to none. Now we are supposed to either let it sit on the lawn or take it to their compost facility where they charge $5 a carload, $10 a truckload. PO of the house had a garden in the back corner and I've never been able to grow grass there so we've been talking about trying a garden ourselves. Guess I should get on that before the wifey calls someone to put a pool there instead!

Right, maybe I didn't word that as well as I should have. As in if I got a fancy pants Recaro doesn't the passenger also have to have a seat of greater or equal value? Or can I just stick them with the OE seat and say "goodluck holding on, ******.".
